6. IEBC Network Engineer Jobs in Kenya


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform design, implementing, and troubleshooting of the Commission’s LAN/WAN networks.
  • Provide a continuous and proactive network monitoring and controlling the network response, throughput, and availability.
  • Conduct network throughput analysis, and capacity planning for the Commission’s networks.
  • Work with external vendors that provide the Commission with solutions and ensure that they are able to deliver on their commitment.
  • Ensure processes, guidelines and procedures are in place and enforced for quality in installation, running, operating and support of the Bank networks. To review & fine-tune the existing processes, guidelines, and procedures by comparing with the industry best practice.
  • Develop and implement recovery procedures for the entire ICT infrastructure
  • Ensure that existing and new systems conform to the Commission’s networking standards.
  • Participate in new implementations or upgrades to existing systems, including project management, project tracking and project status reporting.
  • Coordinate and hand over of support of new networks infrastructure to the production support teams.
  • To maintain an expert knowledge within the team of technology and industry trends in relation to business requirements, and the direction of the Commission.
  • Develop standards for network components.

    Requirements
  • Degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related discipline
  • Strong background in planning, deploying and maintaining Microsoft products, especially Windows client/server technologies and Active Directory
  • Experience in hardware and software installation and troubleshooting
  • Must have an extensive knowledge of computer components, computer system builds and configuration and component and software compatibility
  • Practical experience installing and configuring network firewalls and switches
  • Detail oriented with excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to lead and/or act as part of a team in a customer-driven, fast-paced environment
  • At least one vendor certification, e.g. CCNA, MSCE

    7. IEBC Manager – Risk and Compliance Jobs in Kenya

    Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop risk management strategies and work plans to ensure high compliance levels in the Commission;
  • Put in place risk assessment plans to assess the Commission’s risk and compliance levels;
  • Monitor, evaluate and interpret risk facing the Commissioners and advice the Commission on measures and mitigate risk to be identified;
  • Ensure enforcement of risk, policies and compliance with regulatory and statutory guidelines;
  • Supervise and allocate work to staff in the department that report to this position;
  • Evaluate the operational procedures and processes in place to determine levels of risks and recommend corrective actions;
  • Assist the Commission staff to develop individual check list so as to minimize risk and ensure compliance;
  • Prepare departments work plan and ensure its implementation; and
  • Prepare the department’s procurements plan.

    Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, Actuarial Science, Political science or a relevant field from a recognized Institution;
  • Computer literacy;
  • Knowledge of budget skills;
  • Knowledge of professional standards;
  • Knowledge of legislation; and
  • 8 years of service in a comparable position from a reputable organization.

    8. IEBC Manager – Fleet Management and Security Jobs in Kenya

    Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement transport and logistics policies and procedures for efficient and timely service provision to meet the derived demand;
  • Implement and manage security measures to guarantee safety of premised assets and staff of
  • Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC);
  • Supervise and coordinate staff training for drivers on the latest transport and traffic regulations to ensure they are well equipped;
  • Develop cost effective fleet repairs, maintenance and fuel use for the Commissions’ fleet so as to ensure costs is monitored on a day to day basis;
  • Prepare and manage the transport and logistical budget for the Commission;
  • Prepare status reports on fleet travel and transport for the Commission’s assets and logistic planning;
  • Developing transport relationship inclusive of external transport providers that the Commission can use to increase capacity during peak times;
  • Monitoring transport costs for all fleet, fuel and repairs of vehicles;
  • Carry out cost benefit analysis related to fleet and logistics operations in utilization of the Commissions resources; and
  • Appraise the staff in the transport unit in line with the scheme of service to ensure optimal performance of the fleet and logistics for high achievement on performance targets.

    Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources or any other relevant field from a recognized institution;
  • Post graduate Diploma in Administration, Human Resources or any related field;
  • Computer literacy;
  • Financial management skills;
  • Security management skills; and
  • 8 years of service in a comparable position from a reputable organization.
