The Africa-Europe Innovation Platform (AEIP) Scholars Programme for African Scholars


Program Overview

  • Brings African and European scholars together to advance joint research and strengthen Africa‑Europe cooperation.

  • Supports peer learning, research and innovation, and science communication.

  • Encourages scholars to address shared global challenges through knowledge exchange and practical solutions.

    Programme Structure

  • Ten scholars selected and matched into five Africa‑Europe scholar pairs.

  • Each pair collaborates on a joint research activity and develops a collaborative research output.

  • Following evaluation, the top three scholar pairs will be selected as finalists.

  • Finalists will present their work at the AEIP Stakeholders Event – June 2027.

    Eligibility

  • Early‑career and mid‑career scholars from Africa and Europe.

  • Demonstrated interest in collaborative research and innovation.

  • Commitment to producing joint outputs addressing shared challenges.
