7. Supply Chain Manager Job Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities will entail:-

  • coordinating purchasing, warehousing and control of materials;
  • coordinating implementation of procurement policies, regulations and procedures;
  • developing the procurement manual and procedures;
    ensuring internal supply chain Management processes and procedures is undertaken;
  • coordinating the identification of unserviceable,
  • obsolete and surplus stores and equipment for disposal;
  • carrying out negotiation in contracts;
  • ensuring effective use of e-procurement system;
  • ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards relating to procurement of goods, services and works;
  • consolidating procurement budgets and plans;
  • ensuring safe custody of procured goods;
  • coordinating preparation and maintenance of assets register, transfer and valuation;
  • ensuring periodic stock taking and stock audit is conducted; and
  • supervising and developing staff.

    Qualifications For Supply Chain Manager Job

    For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-
  • served in the grade of Senior Supply Chain Management Officer for a minimum period of three (3years;
  • Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines:- Procurement and Supply Chain Management;
  • Purchasing and Supplies Management; Supply Chain Management; Procurement and Contract Management; Logistics and
    Supply Chain Management; Procurement and Logistics Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Masters degree in any of the following disciplines:- Logistics and Supply Chain Management; Business
    Administration (Purchasing and Suppliesor equivalent qualification from a recognized institution will be an added advantage;
  • Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized institution;
  • Membership to a professional body; and
    demonstrated outstanding professional competence in supply chain Services.

    8. Corporate Communications Manager

    Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:-


  • developing and reviewing Corporate Communication policies, strategies , plans and budgets;
  • overseeing development of internal communications programmes;
  • providing communication linkage between the Fund and stakeholders;
  • preparing press releases and responses;
  • monitoring public perception about the Fund;
  • overseeing the development and maintenance of corporate brand;
  • coordinating media relations programmes;
  • ensuring adherence to the corporate brand;
  • coordinating corporate functions and events;
  • developing and editing publicity materials;
  • coordinating corporate Social responsibility programmes;
  • developing performance targets for corporate communications; and
  • managing and developing staff.

    For appointment to this grade an officer must have:-
  • (served in the grade of Senior Corporate Communication Officer for a minimum period of three (3years;
  • Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines:- Journalism; Mass Communications; Public Relations; Communication and Media or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Masters degree in any of the following disciplines:-
  • Journalism; Mass Communications; Public Relations;
  • Communication studies; Communications and Media;
  • Journalism and Media Studies or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution will be an added advantage;
  • Membership of Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSKor its equivalent;
  • Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized institution; and
  • Demonstrated outstanding professional competence in corporate communications work as reflected in work performance.

    9. Accountant
    Job Responsibilities

    This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the supervision and guidance of a senior officer.
  • processing payment vouchers;
  • preparing simple financial Management reports;
    complying with financial processes, procedures and regulations;
  • carrying out data capture in the financial system;
  • balancing cashbooks on daily basis;
  • preparing customers and suppliers records for payment;
  • filing and retrieving of accountable documents;
    issuing Withholding and Value Added Tax
    certificate to suppliers; and
  • Submitting Withholding and Value Added Tax returns to Kenya Revenue Authority.

    Qualifications For Accountant Job
  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:- Commerce (Accounting option); Commerce (Finance option); Business Administration (Accounting optionor equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • A Pass in Part II of the Certified Public Accountants (CPAExamination or Part II of the Association of Certified
    Chartered Accountants (ACCA or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and
  • Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized institution.

    10. Drivers
    Job Responsibilities

    This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under supervision and guidance of a senior officer.
  • driving a motor vehicle as authorized for official duty and assignments;
  • carrying out routine checks on the vehicle’s cooling, oil, tyre pressure, electrical and brake systems;
  • maintaining records of service and accessories;
  • detecting and reporting of malfunctioning of vehicle systems;
  • maintaining of work tickets for vehicles assigned;
  • reporting traffic incidents or accidents;
  • ensuring security and safety of the vehicle on and off the road;
  • ensuring safety of the passengers and/or goods therein; and
  • maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle and acceptable level of personal hygiene.

    Qualifications For Driver Job
  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade D (plain or equivalent qualification;
  • Current driving license free from current endorsements and valid for all of the classes of vehicles, which the driver is required to drive;
  • Attended a First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1 week obtained at St John Ambulance, or
    Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBTor any other recognized Institution;
  • Passed Suitability Test for Drivers Grade III;
  • Passed Occupational Test Grade III;
  • Passed Practical Test for Drivers conducted by Automobile Association (AA of Kenya or National Transport and Safety Authority or National Youth Service;
  • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the National Police Service; and
  • At least two (2)years driving experience.


    11. Office Admin Assistant
    Job Responsibilities

  • taking oral dictation;
  • using e-office to research and process data;
  • operating office equipment;
  • attending to visitors/clients;
  • handling telephone calls, coordinating schedules of meetings and appointments;
  • ensuring security of office records, equipment and documents, including classified materials;
  • preparing responses to routine correspondence;
  • managing office protocol and etiquette;
  • managing petty cash;
  • monitoring procedures for record keeping of correspondence and file movements;
  • maintaining an up to date filing system in the office;
  • coordinating travel arrangements;
  • handling customer inquiries and complaints;
  • establishing and undertaking any other office administrative Management duties that may be assigned.

    Qualifications For Office Admin Assistant Job
  • Served in the grade of Assistant Office Administrator I or a equivalent position for a minimum period of three (3years;
  • Diploma in Secretarial Studies from the Kenya National Examinations Council;
    OR
  • Business Education Single and Group Certificates (BES & GCStages I, II and III from the Kenya National Examinations Council in the following subjects:-
  • Shorthand III (minimum 120 w.p.m.);
  • Typewriting III(50 w.p.m.)/Computerised Document Processing III;
  • Business English III/Communications II;
  • Commerce II;
  • Office Practice II;
  • Office Management III/Office Administration and Management III; Secretarial Duties II;
  • Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized institution; and
  • shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
