13. NITA Cook I Jobs in Kenya - (Grade 4) -HRA/DIT/03/2017 – 4 Post


Reporting to the Chef, the job holder will be responsible for:

  • Proper storing of foodstuffs
  • Setting up buffet service areas;
  • Placing of foods in serving line;
  • Replenishing of foodstuffs during service;
  • Detecting defective equipment and reporting the same to the supervisor.
  • Curving, slicing or otherwise portioning cooked foods to ensure effective portion control and optimum utilization of foodstuffs;
  • Reporting supply shortages or low stock levels;
  • Detecting and reporting spoilt or unattractive food, defective supplies/equipment or other unusual conditions and recommending corrective action.

    The successful candidate must:

  • Have a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education with a mean grade (D+) Plus;
  • Have attended a certificate course of not less than one (1) year in Food Production from a recognized institution;
  • Demonstrate outstanding professional competence as reflected in work performance and results.

    Supply Chain Management Department

    14. NITA Chief Supply Chain Management Officer Jobs in Kenya
    - (Grade 11)-HRA/SCM/01/2017 – 1 Post

    Reporting to the Manager Supply Chain.

    Duties and responsibilities will include:-

  • Coordinating disposal of stores and equipment as laid down in the procedures;
  • Preparing of periodic and annual reports and returns;
  • Preparing of request for quotations, sending out to prequalified suppliers;
  • Coordinating analysis of vendor tenders;
  • Maintaining the safe custody of supply and tender documents;
  • Assisting in responding to queries and enquiries from external and internal clients;
  • Coordinating implementation of the tender committee decisions;
  • Planning and coordinating of the supply chain management activities
  • Coordinating training and development of the procurement personnel.

    The successful candidate must:

  • Have a Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or any other relevant, related and equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution;
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, or any other relevant, related and equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution;
  • Have a Post graduate diploma in supply chain management (level VI);
  • Have at least seven (7) years’ relevant work experience. The seven (7) years relevant work experience in a State Owned Organization will be an added advantage;
  • Have attended a Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized Institution;
  • Be a member of Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) or any other relevant professional body;
  • Demonstrate high degree of professional competence in Supply Chain Management work and administrative capability in work performance and results;
  • Meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya on Leadership and Integrity;
  • Be Proficient in computer applications skills

    Reporting to Chief Supply Chain Management Officer.

    Duties and responsibilities will include;-

  • Supervision of officers below him/her;
  • Assisting in up-dating and interpretation of supply guidelines and regulations;
  • Implementing procurement and supplies regulations,
  • Identifying stores and equipment for disposal;
  • Preparing of periodic returns;
  • Preparing request for quotations ;
  • Assisting in tender evaluation exercise ;
  • Expediting outstanding purchase orders;
  • Maintaining the safe custody of supply and tender documents;
  • Assisting in responding to queries and enquiries from external and internal clients;
  • Assisting in formulation of supply chain management policies;
  • Providing secretariat support during tender processes;
  • Preparing various supply chain management reports

    The successful candidate must:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, or any other relevant, related and equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution;
  • Have a Post graduate diploma in supply chain management (level VI);
  • Have at least three (3) years’ relevant work experience. The three (3) years relevant work experience in a State Owned Organization will be an added advantage;
