Mandatory Requirements

  • Be a Kenyan citizen,
  • Diploma in clinical medicine and surgery/community health from a recognized institution;
  • A registration certificate from the clinical officers’ council,
  • Higher relevant qualifications will be added advantages.

    Duties and Responsibilities

  • Seeing and examining patients;
  • Diagnosing and treating patients’ ailments at an outpatient/inpatient department in a hospital, health centre or Dispensary;
  • Assisting in planning and conducting community health care activities;
  • Teaching students attached to hospitals and health centres;
  • Supervising and counseling staff engaged on routine patients’ care;
  • Giving support and health education to patients.

    Kitui County Government Enrolled Nurse III - Job Group ‘G’ (50 Posts) Vacancies in Kenya

    Qualifications:

  • Certificate in any of the following disciplines, Kenya enrolled nurse, Kenya Enrolled community Health nurse, Kenya Enrolled Mid wife, Kenya enrolled psychiatric nurse or enrolled nurse/ Mid wife from a recognized institution,
  • Registration certificate from nursing council of Kenya,
  • Valid practicing license,
  • Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.

    Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assessing patients and clients and establishing health care needs;
  • Planning and implementing nursing care interventions based on patients’/clients’ health needs;
  • Providing appropriate health care services – including immunization, ante-natal care , delivery, referring patients and clients appropriately;
  • Making appropriate discharge plan for patients;
  • Conducting assessments of school health needs;
  • Planning, implementing interventions and preparing periodic reports;
  • Maintaining records on patients/clients personal and health condition/ care;
  • Ensuring a tidy and safe clinical environment;
  • Conducting home visits, following up discharged patients/clients and providing continuity of care and treating minor ailments.

    Kitui County Government Enrolled Orthopedic Trauma Technician III, Job Group ‘G’ (5 Posts) Vacancies in Kenya

    Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out minor orthopedic operative techniques involving insertion and removal of Steinman’s pins and skull calipers;
  • Correcting Congenital Talipes Equino-Varus (C.T.E.V);
  • Manipulating and reducing, fractures and dislocations;
  • Fixing and removing casts, bandages and tractions to and from patients;
  • Participating in the management of minor orthopedic and trauma cases in emergencies and accidents;
  • Sensitizing and creating awareness on orthopedic trauma conditions to the communities;
  • Counseling patients/clients with orthopedic trauma needs.

    Requirements for Appointment

  • Be a Kenyan citizen;
  • Have Certificate in either Orthopedic Plaster and Traction Technology or
    Orthopedic Plaster Technology from a recognized institution; and
  • Proficiency in computer applications

    Kitui County Government Director Human Resource Management (Office of The County Secretary), Job Group “R’’(1 Post) Vacancies in Kenya

    Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implementation of human resource management policies, rules and regulations and ensuring that they are adhered to;
  • Analyzing the impact of the human resource policies, rules and regulations;
  • Advising on the delegated powers and ensuring proper implementation and advising on the professional human resource management standards and ensuring that the standards are maintained;
  • Advising on succession management/human resource planning and utilization of human resources;
  • Advising on career development and initiating development and review of schemes of service; and
  • Interpretation of labour laws and other statutes that impact on the human resource in the county.

    Requirements for Appointment

  • Be a Kenyan citizen;
  • Be a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) Professional body with good standing;
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, social sciences, or other equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
  • Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management; Industrial Relations or Public/Business Administration;
  • Have relevant knowledge, experience and a distinguished career of not less than Ten (10) years
  • A Master’s Degree in HR/HRM, IR, Public/Business Administration, Government or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution will be an added advantage;
  • Proficiency in relevant Computer applications;
  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results;
  • Demonstrated a high degree of professional competence, administrative capabilities and initiative in the general organization and management of the human resource and through understanding of the human resource issues and emerging human resource management practices/ techniques.
