The following vacant position exist within the newly created Digital Media Unit under ICT Department. Qualified internal/external applicants are encouraged to apply.

The Role:
Reporting to the Chief Digital Media Administrator, the Digital Video Editor will be responsible for generating and managing all the video content for online distribution. He/she will develop narrations and metadata for the videos. He / She will also be responsible for creatively interpreting ideas and thoughts into video graphics for online consumption.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate enticing video clips to match scripts for the online audience
  • Manage all video content on all the Corporation’s websites and social media platforms
  • Fine-tuning the content to ensure the logical sequencing and smooth running of the film/video
  • Ensure good labeling and storage video content for future use
  • Responsible for video shooting assignments for any event
  • Generate inspiring and innovative video graphics that will propel KBC products online
  • Interpret and translate situations, news and ideas into video graphics
  • Ability to articulate and present thoughts and creative ideas in a concise manner
  • Ensure the Corporation’s standard image watermarking is applied.

    Minimum Educational and Professional Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mass
  • Communication/Design/Journalism
  • Three (3) years of relevant working experience in a creative agency environment or other design-related field
  • Proficiency in IT skills
  • Good working knowledge of video editing and graphics software
  • High quality work with attention to detail
  • Self-confidence and strong ideas
  • Ability to manage workflow and time
  • Team player and open to feedback
  • Ability to multi-task, juggle through multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.

    The Role:
    Reporting to the Chief Digital Media Administrator, the Digital Graphic Designer will be responsible for generating and managing all the still and motion images for online distribution. He/she will develop graphics for online content as per the standards of the Corporation.

    Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate inspiring and innovative still graphics that are for all products;
  • Interpreting and translating situations and ideas and text into graphics
  • Developing alternative story forms such as charts, galleries, tables, timelines, infographics, process charts for online and the social media
  • Develop fascinating graphics and branding for all KBC products
  • Ensure the Corporation’s standard image watermarking is applied.

    Minimum Educational and Professional Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication/Design/Journalism
  • Three (3) years relevant working experience
  • Proficiency
    in IT skills with good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Relevant experience working in a creative agency environment or other design-related field
  • High quality work with attention to detail
  • Self-confidence and strong ideas
  • Ability to manage workflow and time
  • Team player and open to feedback
  • Ability to multi-task, juggle through multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.

    The Role:

    Reporting to the Chief Digital Media Administrator, the Digital Photojournalist will be responsible for capture, processing and storage of digital images and videos. He/she will be responsible for generating media formats for online compatibility.

    Key Responsibilities:
  • Take creative and eye-catching photos or video segments
  • Write narration/metadata to accompany images
  • Post approved photos online and on social media platforms
  • Identify photos and archive according to the Corporation’s standards
  • Use image-editing software such as Photoshop or Print Shop Pro to edit images
  • Ensure the Corporation’s standard image watermarking is applied.

    Minimum Educational and Professional Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication/Journalism
  • Three (3) years relevant working experience
  • Proficiency in IT skills and capturing of HDR images
  • Must have a working knowledge of online technology and online news best practices and an appreciation of the business processes, protocols and controls
  • Proven professional shooting experience and ability to manipulate lighting
  • Must be self driven, assertive, punctual & organized
  • Must be social media savvy, innovative & creative
  • Demonstrable professional approach, enthusiasm, drive, commitment, honesty, trust and loyalty
  • Solid knowledge of Photoshop
  • Must be a team player, dynamic and open to feedback
  • Ability to multi-task, juggle through multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.
