1. Hope Media Station Manager – TV Jobs in Kenya
The Position reports to the Head of Media and is responsible for the management, administrative,
technical, programs and business functions of the TV station - HOPE TV.

We expect this person to be an articulate champion of station’s strategies, one who can develop strong relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally to lead the evolution of the Station
with measurable shifts in growth and expansion.

Pushing boundaries, presenting new initiatives and
constantly ensuring all proposals are aligned with the overarching strategic plan and organizational
objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the staff in appreciating organizations Vision, Mission and objectives
  • Manage and coordinate the continuous, multifaceted daily operations of the radio station, ensuring compliance with organizations policies and culture, broadcast standards and relevant government regulations
  • Participate in the establishment, organization, and implementation of short- and long-term goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and effect changes required for improvement
  • Direct and administer the provision of day-to-day operation support to the various divisions of the station, including the non-engineering portions of the station's physical plant, space allocation
    and utilization, station supplies and inventory, and station safety and security
  • Implement and maintain organizational structures and systems that enable staff members to effectively accomplish the organization's mission, goals, and objectives
  • Assign, allocate work, and generally oversee staff engaged in continuous station operations. Set targets and monitor performance of staff as per the work plans
  • Coordinate department’s workshops, special projects, and events in liaison with Head of Media; may serve on unit committees and task forces
  • Participate in the management of annual operating budgets and financial expenditure for the station in liaison with Head of Media
  • Ensure achievement of station’s business targets as per the strategic plan
  • Cultivate relationships with non-traditional sponsors/partners and businesses in the community that will lead to underwriting and sponsorship opportunities
  • Provide advice and assistance to the Head of Media in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of modification to existing operations, systems, and procedures
  • Ensure the station’s licenses and contracts are in order and up to date
  • Develop and maintain a proper record keeping system for easy retrieval and sustenance of the institutional memory
  • May provide services as an on-air host, as required
  • Maintain high ethical standards of behaviour in the station

    Minimum Qualifications
    A born again Christian who should have the following:
  • Bachelors Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Sales, Advertising, Media or
  • Bachelors Degree in Management/Leadership and Diploma in Media related
  • Masters Degree is a definite advantage
  • Computer skills relevant for developing proposals, and presentations
  • Minimum 7 years experience in a similar position
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
