Care International Request for Expression of Interest - Conducting a Baseline Survey for She Feeds the World Jobs in Uganda

Conducting a Baseline Survey for She Feeds the World (Sftw) Project in Kyenjojo and Kyegegwa Districts.

CARE International In Uganda has secured funding from PepsiCo Foundation to implement a Food and Nutrition Security, She Feeds the World (SFtW) Project in Kyenjojo and Kyegegwa Districts.

CARE in Uganda intends to hire a consultant conduct a baseline study.

The consultant will generate information on the current status of the targeted households regarding food and nutrition security and income and establish the baseline values.

Key Tasks Include

To establish the baseline values.

To assess level of women's participation in household decision-making regarding socio-economic dynamics.

To establish the level of knowledge and skills on nutrition, healthier feeding practice and new agricultural technologies.

To establish the level of access to productive resources by women.

To establish the number of existing Producer and Marketing, and Farmer Groups, including Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs).

Identify, project related services available to women and girls as well as barriers.

To provide CARE with a set of recommendations of how best to implement the project.

CARE International in Uganda now invites qualified individual consultants and or firms, to indicate their expression of interest in the assignment.

You need to submit both the technical and financial proposals.

Interested consultants must provide information indicating they qualify to conduct the baseline by demonstrating required experience and citation of similar assignments previously delivered.

Additionally, the consultants should attach the following: Name. address. and physical location including telephone contacts, and for firms, certificates of registration.

Eligibility criteria

Eligibility criteria will be based on weighted score to determine the highest ranking applicant who demonstrates the following:

Excellent knowledge in development issues.

Food and Nutrition Security and Farmer Field and Business School approach

Understanding the task and interpretation of the TORs

Presentation of content, grammar and style of writing

Clarity of methodology

Relevant previous experience in research on similar or related projects/tasks

Relevant academic background.

How to Apply

For each assignment previously executed, the consultant shall provide the name and addresses of the Client, date(s) of execution, names of lead and associate firms, a brief description and value of the services provided by the consultant and financing sources.

Expression of interest must be sent in soft copy (PDH Only) to above email address, and Indicate in subject of the email: Expression of Interest — Conducting SFtW Baseline Study by 23rd February 2019.

Any Form of Canvassing or Lobbying for This Expression of Interest Shall Lead to Automatic Disqualification.
