Atlantic Fellows for Equity in Brain Health Program at the Global Brain Health Institute;The Global Brain Health Institute (GBHI), based at Trinity College Dublin and the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), is now accepting applications for the 2027–2028 Atlantic Fellows for Equity in Brain Health program.

Fellowship designed for emerging leaders committed to advancing brain health equity through leadership, collaboration, research, and innovation.

Provides education, mentorship, leadership development, and lifelong global connections.

Fellows learn alongside clinicians, researchers, artists, public health professionals, policymakers, educators, and advocates from around the world.

One Mission, Two Fellowship Experiences

Trinity College Dublin: Full‑time, in‑person fellowship emphasizing a life‑course approach to brain health and social determinants of dementia risk.

UCSF: Global hybrid fellowship combining interactive online learning, international workshops, and engagement with the UCSF Fein Memory and Aging Center.

Applicants may apply to one fellowship site per cycle and are encouraged to choose the program that best aligns with their professional goals.

Learning Across Disciplines

Fellows come from diverse fields including clinical practice, neuroscience, public health, policy, technology, education, engineering, journalism, the arts, business, and social sciences.

Interdisciplinary community challenges assumptions, exchanges ideas, and develops new approaches to advancing brain health globally.

Turning Learning into Action

Fellows develop knowledge, leadership skills, and global partnerships to create lasting impact.

Many alumni lead innovative research, strengthen clinical care, influence policy, launch community initiatives, and inspire new conversations about dementia and brain health.

GBHI’s Pilot Awards provide funding to support projects improving brain health outcomes in fellows’ home communities.
