    Qualifications

  • Degree in business administration, economics, public policy, agronomy, livestock, animal health and science, finance, law, human resources or related field; Master’s degree or other advanced degree strongly preferred
  • Substantial experience in related technical area
  • Experience with USAID and/or any other international donor funded project required
  • Proven ability to facilitate high-value partnerships with communities, private and public sector stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively within tight deadlines, excellent analytical and report writing skills
  • Fluency in English and Swahili required

    ACDI/VOCA Deputy Chief of Party Jobs in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Ensure that implementation of technical activities is aligned between value chains
  • Provide direct supervision of key technical staff and subcontractors
  • Undertake area assessments to identify needs and future direction of program, and work with Chief of Party to develop existing and new program opportunities.

    Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience as a DCOP, Technical Manager, Project Director, or similar senior management position for projects and/or the private sector with similar magnitude and complexity in developing countries.
  • Prior experience supporting projects that used the USAID value chain, Making Markets Work for the Poor (M4P), or Market Systems Development approach is desired.
  • Familiarity with applying adaptive management strategies to improve program performance is desired.
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills with evidence of ability to productively interact with a wide range and levels of organizations (government, private sector, NGOs, research institutions).
  • Experience in technology transfer and developing public private partnerships is preferred.
  • Master’s Degree in agricultural economics, economics, or other value-chain-related fields.
  • Experience in Kenya is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel required.

    ACDI/VOCA Monitoring and Evaluation Director, FTF Jobs in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and facilitate the refinement of the Theory of change, logical framework and DIP.
  • Prepare data analyses for PREPs, Annual Results Reports and other required documents.
  • Oversee strengthening of
    M&E capacity of local organizations.

    Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in economics, agricultural economics, statistics, bio-statistics, nutrition or other relevant subject with strong quantitative background.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in progressively increasing M&E responsibility in international development projects.
  • Strong conceptual knowledge about theories of change, logic model, food and nutrition security indicators, M&E plan, data quality assurance, data utilization, and gender integration into M&E.
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in developing and operationalizing a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation plan.
  • Familiarity with USAID M&E requirements strongly preferred; knowledge of Feed the Future M&E system desired.
  • Strong quantitative background and demonstrated expertise in designing annual monitoring surveys including probabilistic sampling strategy and analyzing quantitative data.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing qualitative studies, interviews and interactive tools to generate qualitative information and analysis.
  • Experienced in developing data quality assurance strategies, data management, and data visualization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

    ACDI/VOCA Chief of Party, Kenya FTF Jobs in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Provide overall technical vision, leadership, and project management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with USAID with regard to day-to-day implementation and management matters relating to the contract
  • Collaboratively create and implement a strategic, long-term programmatic vision
  • Evaluate sub-contractor and grantee activities through consultative meetings, site visits and reporting requirements
  • Develop professional relationships, and further program goals and objectives

    Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in business, agronomy, livestock, animal health and science, livestock management, or related field
  • Minimum ten years of progressively responsible supervisory work experience including direct supervision of professional and support staff and assembling teams working on multi-faceted international development projects, preferably in Africa
  • Proven Chief of Party experience on a large, complex USAID-funded contract of comparable complexity and scope
  • Ability to collaborate successfully with host-country government officials, international donors, and private sector stakeholders.
  • Extensive management experience and strong leadership and communication skills required.
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills with evidence of ability to productively interact with a wide range and levels of organizations (producers, government, private sector, NGOs, and research institutions).
  • Demonstrated ability to build coalitions and networks that can provide synergies and sustainable solutions to food security issues
  • Experience in conflict areas or similar environments preferred
