World Vision Director, Child Sponsorship Marketing Jobs in South Sudan


Purpose of Positions

The Director of Child Sponsorship Marketing heads up the strategic direction of World Vision child sponsorship marketing globally, focused on stabilizing fundraising income (currently at $1.1bn annually) and returning it to growth.

This will require turning around the global child sponsorship acquisition rate, reducing the global cancellation rate and increasing sponsor value across the lifetime experience.

The role will work in partnership with and through regional marketing senior advisor roles in both Asia and Europe, while also having personal direct influence and relationship with the largest 8 fundraising markets.

This position is an important global leadership role for the global strategic initiative to revitalize child sponsorship marketing to become industry best in class, ensuring stability and future growth of our field ministry to bring life in all its fullness to millions of the world’s most vulnerable children. The role will also partner with and help deliver upon our new global brand and ministry fundraising strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Alignment with Field Ministry:

  • Develop and sustain continued alignment between field ministry goals, programming models and global fundraising feasibility through Child Sponsorship through engagement and collaboration with senior ministry leaders across the partnership to understand short and long-term strategies and road maps for field ministry and programmes, how they impact child well-being outcomes and to define the connection points for child sponsorship and adjacent offers.
  • Ensure our market position and value proposition accurately represents our fieldwork reality, and uses evidence-based impact claims and research outputs.

    Global Marketing Offer Progression & Innovation:

  • Lead on-going progressive optimisation and breakthrough innovation (as required) of the global Child Sponsorship marketing offer and framework that reinforces our position and differentiates WV Child Sponsorship in the category and market, and that effectively represents WV’s global brand, Christian, child-focused, and community-based programming approach.
  • Work with external consultants, advisors and senior marketers in Support Offices to ensure suitable and continuous insights are attained that enable this development.
  • Partner with support offices to identify, test and report on new marketing and sponsor experience opportunities, and foster scaling of the winners.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 10-15 years in marketing, fundraising or related role, including 5-7 years at a senior management level with demonstrable success in achieving growth.
  • Exceptional ability to lead change through relationship and influence, across diver.
  • Exceptional intellectual ability - a clear strategic marketing thinker.
  • Significant experience in leading change in a complex environment.
  • Ideally, minimum 5 years of experience leading a marketing function within one of the largest World Vision Support offices and / or Minimum 7 years of experience leading a marketing function within a global, federated organisation.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in strategy or marketing.

    World Vision Programme Manager - Strategic Initiatives Jobs in South Sudan

    Purpose of
    Positions


    The Programme Manager provides programme and project management capability, as a member of the Private Funding leadership teams, to lead and support delivery of relevant WV Partnership Strategic Initiatives within the Global Resource Development (GRD) function. As such, the Programme Manager works with and is a key contributor to the Strategy Realization Office (SRO).

    The scope of this role includes leading and supporting innovation focused projects across multiple partnership entities, organization disciplines, stakeholders and geographies including Support Office marketing and product services functions, communications, IT and operations.
    This is accomplished through the influence of business leaders, project managers and staff across the partnership to achieve outcomes.

    The Programme Manager reports to the Partnership Leader, Strategic Marketing and the Senior Director, Sponsorship Marketing and Engagement, and is a member of their respective leadership teams.
    The role is responsible for setting up and managing a formal programme management discipline to support and ensure delivery of the partnership-wide Strategic Initiatives within GRD, including an array of current in-progress innovation co-investment projects. This programme of work forms part of the partnership-wide Partnership Strategy 2030.

    The Programme Manager will provide leadership and support in the development of all program management and innovation co-investment project deliverables, from project initiation through close out, to support projects through the innovation life cycle, from ideation through to successful launch and global scale out. This will include but not limited to project briefs, charters, business cases, plans, progress reporting, dependency, risk and issue management and escalation, budgeting and financial management, communications planning, procurement planning, all project monitoring processes and project close out.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic and Financial Planning, Management and Reporting:

  • For the SRO Strategic Initiatives within the GRD function, leads the planning and reporting of the Innovation Fund projects and associated financial plans which roll up to the realization of Partnership Strategy 2030 outcomes.
  • Maps GRD SRO portfolio project high level timelines, milestones and deliverables, their interdependencies and dependencies for management and executive review, guidance and action.
  • Provides financial and management reporting to support management and accountability against established annual goals and targets.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Master’s degree in project management, business administration, management science or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Must be highly self-motivated and driven to succeed in a fast-paced working environment.
  • 6 - 8 years’ experience leading Global Programme and/or Project Management across multiple countries/project sites, and diverse range of project types (technology and business).
  • Experience leading both operations and project-based teams in a global, virtual environment.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with other members of the GRD
  • leadership team, other Partnership senior leaders and their teams, third-party service providers and staff.
  • Financial or economic analysis experience for feasibility study and decision management.
  • Ability to lead through collaboration and influence the GRD leadership team to gain alignment and participation in planning and reporting out on achievement of objectives.
