Vinci Construction Jobs in Kenya

We are seeking to fill the following positions in one of our project sites in Mwea.

Candidates who live in and around the Mwea area or those who are willing to relocate at own cost will be given preference.

Excavator Operator (Wetlands)
  • Operate 20 ton excavator in wetlands
  • Experience as an excavator working on a construction irrigation project
  • At least 2 years’ experience working as an excavator operator in the wetlands – A MUST (mud and wetlands)

    2. Electrician
  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
  • At least 3 years relevant job experience with
  • Grade II testing qualifications

    3. Plumber
  • Perform general plumbing work including installing storm water, sanitary and water piping systems, assembling and installing pipes, valves, fittings and fixtures, and testing pipe systems and fixtures for leaks.
  • Perform physical laboring tasks associated with plumbing work such as lifting and adjusting heavy objects, concreting and rendering, and cleaning up work site.
  • Safe and effective operation and maintenance of assigned tools, plant and equipment associated with the job using required Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Review building plans and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing water supply networks and waste and drainage systems.
  • Estimate hours, materials and special equipment required to perform specific tasks.
  • Order materials required to perform specific tasks and schedule work in cooperation with other trades and suppliers.
  • Keep records of assignments and produce work reports.
  • Comply with organizational policies and procedures and local laws as appropriate.
  • At least 3 years relevant experience with grade II qualifications

    4. Bull Dozer Operators
  • Operates tractor equipped with concave blade attached across front to gouge out, level, and distribute earth and to push trees and rocks from land preparation to undertake construction project
  • Drives bulldozer in successive passes over terrain to raise or lower terrain to specified grade following markings on grade stakes or hand signals
  • At least 5 years relevant job experience with Grade II qualification

    4. Motor Grader Operator
  • The grader operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the motor grader.
  • The grader is to perform appropriate grade finishing, spread and mix materials in order to dry and prep roads, construct road surface to grade specifications, lay cold mix, and/or shave and rip out old road surfaces
  • At least 5 years relevant job experience with Grade II qualification

    5. Ambulance Driver
  • Ferry sick, injured or convalescent people to designated hospitals
  • help in placing the patient on the stretcher and helping to load the stretcher into the ambulance,
  • needs to be a skillful driver who drives carefully avoiding any sudden motion and jerks which may be detrimental to the patient in the vehicle
  • trained in safety and first aid principles
  • at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role

    6. Site Nurse
  • Registered with the nursing council with a valid practicing license
  • Trained in Frist aid and basic life support
  • Able to conduct occupational first aid
  • Keep medical reports for all staff members on site
  • Manage the site clinic
  • Keep accurate accident reports and refer patients to designated hospitals if need be

    7. Clinical Officer
  • Taking history, examining, diagnosing and treating patients’ common ailments at an outpatient or inpatient health facility
  • Guiding and counseling patients, clients and staff on health issue;
  • Sensitizing staff and clients on preventive and promotive health;
  • Carrying out minor surgical procedures as per training and skill
  • Collecting and compiling clinical data
  • Referring patients and clients to appropriate health facilities
  • Diploma in Clinical medicine and Surgery with a valid practicing license
  • Certificate of Registration from the Clinical Officers’ Council
  • At least 5 years relevant working experience
  • Computer literacy skills with MS Office software
  • Good communication skills, good inter-personal skills
  • Able to provide stigma-free and non-discriminatory services

    8. Administration and Accounting Manager
  • Responsible for the accounting operations at the project site
  • Participate in the formation and implementation financial plans for the site
  • Preparation of all monthly financial reports
  • Provide reporting and budgeting as required by Senior Management.
  • Manage site cash and project cash flow
    Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable staff and functions.
  • Work with project management staff ensuring proper compliance with accounting procedures including reviewing and analyzing job cost estimates and reports monthly.
  • Develop written accounting procedures for the operations staff and work with team to ensure proper implementation and compliance.
  • CPA (K) or ACCA qualification with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience

    9. Personnel Officer
  • Keep personnel records
  • In charge of time/attendance at the site for purposes of payroll
  • Ensure discipline and adherence to work site safety rules and regulations
  • Prepare contracts, custodian of personnel files on site
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience

    10. Site Secretary
  • Working within a busy site team and reporting to the Project manager you will be required to carry out the following duties.
  • Internal site document control
  • Writing up Reports
  • Scanning, filing and distribution of documents
  • Recording of Meetings/ site critical information
  • Setting up and running of document registers
  • Assisting the site project team in administrative roles
  • Previous site admin or document control experience is essential
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively with people, alongside I.T. / typing skills and knowledge of administrative principles and their application.
  • At least 2 years relevant experience
  • Certificate/Diploma in

    11. Foreman – Civil Works & Foreman (Earthworks & Irrigation)
  • Ensure respect of the schedule and efficiency of work
  • Supervise the site daily and prepare deliveries
  • Supervise the sub-contractors on site
  • Participate in the elaboration of working procedures on site
  • Organize the teams according to the tasks to be carried and take all necessary measures for the proper execution of these tasks (PPE, temporary Signage on site, SPA…)
  • Ensure the rational use of the resources available and define the extra needs if necessary with site management
  • Ensure respect of the specifications of the contract and ensure the use of approved documents and quality of the work
  • Monitor the consumption of the teams (concrete, materials etc) and the indicators of profitability of his work
  • Supervise preparation of daily reports
  • Carry out the necessary checks to ensure the quality of work and ensure the treatment of non-compliance
  • Ensure the maintenance and proper use of the equipment at his disposal
  • Min 7 years’ experience
