How can you make a difference?

  • Ensures that supplies and equipment are delivered to UNICEF Warehouse or recipients, before or on the delivery date given on the Purchase Order and keep records of delivery information on all purchase orders, in case of delivery delays bring the problem to the attention of the Supply Officer to raise issue with the suppliers.
  • Receive and record signed hard copy of requisitions (PGMs) and distributes PGMs for action & filling to the respective staff.
  • Assist Programme Section in providing information on the status of their PGMs upon request.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the Supplier’s database and enter new information in the supplier’s data base when new orders are issued and ensures that all relevant information about supplier’s are included in the database
  • Assist the Supply Officer in following-up and organize the pre-delivery inspection of orders which needs inspection by Program Sections, IT Section and the contracted pre-delivery company by UNICEF ad per the procedures and guidelines set by the country office and obtain inspection reports.
  • Assist
    the Supply Officer in maintaining and updating the local price and specification list for locally procured items during the biannual revision of local price and specification list.
  • Ensure that all Supplier’s files are in order and keep all the relevant information such as up-dated supplier’s evaluation form is obtained for each supplier, current business licenses and relevant information are enclosed in the individual supplier’s file.
  • Performs any duties relating to logistics and supply operations as assigned by the Logistics Officer.

  • Completion of Secondary education.
  • Four years of general clerical work experience in supply/logistics issues and good knowledge of data entry and management.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Knowledge of the local language of the duty station is an asset.
  • Proven analytical and negotiating skills.
  • User knowledge of standard MS Office package.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, and establish harmonious and effective working relationships both within and outside the organization.
  • Persistent and flexible.
