Requirements for Application

  • Be a Kenyan Citizen
  • Be independent to the County Government of Trans Nzoia. The Candidate must not be a present or past employee of the County Government of Trans Nzoia, and must never have served as an agent of a business entity that has done business with the County Government of Trans Nzoia over the past two years.
  • Possess at least an undergraduate degree from a recognized university in the field in which she or he has been practicing.
  • High degree of integrity
  • Satisfy the provisions of chapter six of the constitution
  • Have at least 10 years of experience in a senior management position, where their scope of work covered the entire organization they were working with.
  • Be a member, in good standing, of professional bodies such as: IIA, ICPAK, ICPSK, IAK, APSEA, ACFE and any other relevant professional body.
  • Not a holder of a political office.
  • Demonstrate competence in leadership and business management
  • Possess a good understanding of Government operations, financial reporting, and auditing.
  • Duties and responsibilities

    The audit committee chairperson shall perform the following duties among others:-

  • Set the agenda for each meeting with the committee members
  • Provide oversight on risk management, controls and governance processes and audit affairs of the County Executive Committee regarding internal control and audit matter; and
  • Follow up on the implementations of the recommendations of internal and external auditors
  • Arrange for a periodic review of the effectiveness of the audit committee alongside its mandate.
  • Demonstrate independence and impartiality in decision making which accord with the legal, constitutional and policy requirement.
  • Provide clarification to members on the audit committee’s responsibilities.

    Terms of Appointment

  • The chairperson of the committee shall be appointed for a term of three (3) years on a part time basis and shall be eligible for reappointment for a further one term only,
  • The allowances payable to the members of the audit committee shall be as determined by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission.

    Requirements for appointment

  • Be a Kenyan Citizen
  • Be a member, in good standing, of professional bodies such as: IIA, ICPAK, ICPSK, IAK, APSEA, ACFE and any other relevant professional body.
  • Possess at least an undergraduate degree from a recognized university in the field in which she or he has been practicing.
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in a senior management position, where their scope of work covered the entire organization they were working with.
  • Be independent to the County Government of Trans Nzoia. The Candidate must not be a present or past employee of the County Government of Trans Nzoia, and must never have served as an agent of a business entity that has done business with the County Government of Trans Nzoia over the past two years.
  • Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of the object, principles and functions of the County Government ofTrans Nzoia.
  • Demonstrate competence in leadership and business management
  • Possess a good understanding of Government operations, financial reporting, and auditing.
  • Not a holder of a
    political office.
  • Posses current statutory clearances; KRA, HELB, EACC and CID (certificate of good conduct).

    Duties and Responsibilities

    The audit committee shall perform the following duties among others:

  • Assess and evaluate quality of the performance of the internal audit functions of the Commission,
  • Evaluate internal and external audit reports and make appropriate recommendations,
  • Ensure compliance with the recommendations of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC),
  • Undertake independent review of the County Government,
  • Ensure the intergrity and transparency of County Government Financial Reporting process and
  • Review the level of compliance with relevant legislative and requlatory requirements.

    Trans Nzoia County Government Assistant director, human resource management (recruitment and selection) jg “p‟ (1 post) Jobs in Kenya

    Specific duties and responsibilities:

  • Processing of indents and advertising.
  • Analyzing applications for the Board’s decision and direction.
  • Providing secretarial services to the selection committees.
  • Scheduling and inviting shortlisted candidates for interviews.
  • Preparing selection committee reports for presentation to the Board for decision making.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Human Resource Management (Policy, Recruitment and Selection).

    Requirements for appointment:

  • Served in the grade of chief human resource management officer or in a comparable relevant position in the public service for a minimum period of 3 years.
  • A Degree in social science, such as government, sociology, economics, Public/ Business administration, Human resource/ Personnel management from a recognized university/ institution.
  • Master’s degree in human resource management or business administration (HR option).
  • Attended a senior management course of not less than four (4) weeks.
  • Computer application skills
  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
  • Posses current statutory clearances; KRA, HELB, EACC and CID (certificate of good conduct)
