Telkom Kenya Area Sales Manager Job Opportunities


Role Purpose:

This position is responsible for understanding and developing assigned territory to maximize and grow revenue and profits through effective management of TKL partners and selling of TKL products and services to existing customers and acquiring new business in the assigned area.This by ensuring visibility and availability of the company’s products and services in the area at all times and effectively aligning partners to meet the retail market objectives.

Responsibilities

Grow Sales

  • Within the assigned Area he/she will ensure sales growth by developing innovative ways of increasing/growing airtime sales at the Point of Purchase; Value added services and connections by ensuring availability of the company products at all times within the area of Accountability; Generating and analyzing qualitative performance of the business.

    Distribution

  • Effective implementation of distribution strategy in the trade to achieve availability and grow sales within the assigned area; Follow through documented and actual implementation of trade distribution routines as per business Distribution Strategy/objectives; Attainment of Outlet Penetration (No. of new outlets including Non Traditional Channels); Attainment of Communicated agreed targets; Adherence and completion of Daily, monthly trade routes and attainment of distribution service targets.

    Sales Targets and Routines/ Processes

  • Achievement of the area’s Monthly, Quarterly, Semi Annually or Annual sales targets. Ensure internal collaboration, team work development and implementation of key Management and sales routines; Airtime Usage and Sales; Subscriber acquisition/connection
  • Implementation and adoption of approved market routines in the Area of accountability.

    Development of sales programs and branding

  • Prepare, plan and execute Area Sales programs aimed at market penetration, availability of the company products and services at all time and ensure shops are well branded according to Telkom Kenya brand guidelines in order to create awareness & ensure that stores are well stocked and sell at recommended sales prices; Documented and approved Monthly/Quarterly territory Plans aligned to the Area Business Plan; Effective executed sales programs in the Area as per targets set in the plan (number and Quality/Results of promotions/Road shows held).

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or a related field from a recognized Institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer service, sales management or trade execution.
  • Should be able to demonstrate experience in brand management and high level knowledge of the sponsorship environment
  • Should be able to demonstrate understanding of the role of sponsorship to deliver commercial and brand objectives
  • Knowledge of ethics and corporate governance ethos.

    Telkom Kenya HRMIS Analyst Job Opportunities

    Role Purpose:

    The HRMIS Analyst will support internal teams in the requirements gathering, scoping and implementation of enabling projects. This role facilitates the hand-off to IT execution and may spend a portion of their time working with project execution teams ensuring priorities are in line with the business case and business roadmap. This role is instrumental in creating business cases, deeply understands and helps prioritize and develop.

    Responsibilities

  • Analyzes processes, data, functions and procedures and frames requirements, scenarios and use cases to IT Teams. Demonstrates creative thinking in their analysis and scenario development. Artifacts may include: Business Requirements documents, Business capability roadmaps, user personas, user stories, business area context diagrams, process maps.
  • Instrumental in developing the breakdown for project costing and working with Enterprise Architects to develop refreshed annual business and technology roadmaps that close capability gaps and deliver value to customers.
  • As part of Ideation, creates as-is and to-be documentation to analyze
    existing and future state processes (recognizing gaps and issues identifying business focus areas
  • As part of Design, assists in the translation of application use cases and scenarios into requirements and works with the HR function and IT to manage requirement priorities and trade-offs.
  • Post project close tracks operational metrics and informs HR function of progress against project KPIs and goals updates the business roadmap as appropriate.
  • Demonstrates business acumen as a member of HR to develop and operationalize success criteria and business measures, understand problems and market considerations
  • Has foundational knowledge of technology services and organization structure, Employee lifecycle; and provides coordination between HR and project teams.
  • You will be expected to facilitate and present to leadership which requires excellent written and oral communication skills. The role also requires strong attention to detail, the ability to synthesize detailed information for executive consumption and work comfortably in ambiguous scenarios driving clarity.

    Qualifications

  • Relevant university degree with minimum 3-5 years’ work experience in business & technology
  • Expertise in process design, reengineering, scenario development, requirements management and documentation methodologies, design and production quality deliverables
    Solid understanding of IT services and delivery processes.
  • Has an understanding of information systems, information/data architecture, business processes, the key drivers and measures of success for the relevant business.

    Telkom Kenya Trade Marketing Manager Job Opportunities

    Role Purpose:

    This position is responsible for effectively managing all available resources in order to maximize van/rig profitability and to maximize sales and exceed customers’ expectations whilst adhering to Telkom Kenya policies and procedures. They will also create, drive and manage all activations and animations within the distribution and sales channel.

    Responsibilities

  • Maximize sales through effective sales trade management.
  • Ensure customer expectations are exceeded in terms of service standards and product knowledge in order to grow the customer base.
  • Develop cycle plan of activations and market storm route plans in liaison with Sales teams.
  • Organize, recruit ground support teams and supervise activation on a day to day basis.
  • Set up and management of Van/Rig
    Planning and management of Market storms and MITs
  • Ensure supply chain management; stock administration, stock inventory and cash management flow.
  • Observe and analyze market dynamics in order to optimize local market opportunities.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Marketing, Accounting or a related field from a recognized Institution.
  • 3-5 years’ in consumer and business marketing environment.
  • FMCG experience will be an added advantage.
  • Should be able to demonstrate understanding of the role to deliver commercial and brand objectives
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Capacity to propose solutions, make advices
