Standard Group Studio Broadcast Engineer Job Vacancies

Reporting to The Manager Broadcast Studio and Maintenance, the incumbent is responsible for undertaking Studio Broadcast facilities maintenance and supervising installations. JOB

Responsibilities

Ensure smooth operation of studio equipment in delivering un-interrupted services 24/7.

To ensure technical incidents are fixed in transmission and studio productions immediately to result in less downtime.

To train maintenance and operation teams on the broadcast systems to maximize service delivery.

Ensure implementation of routine and scheduled maintenance.

Management of Studio technical maintenance team shift roster to ensure flawless service.

Work with ICT broadcast support and external consultants to resolve challenges arising.

Develop and manage studio lighting.

Management of daily logs to improve services

Research and advice on new efficient technologies

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering or Electrical & Electronic Engineering from a recognized institution

5 years relevant experience

Should have excellent Communication skills

Must be self-driven, assertive, punctual and organized.

Ability to translate overall Group plans into operations plans.

Ability to make decisions under situation of uncertainty.

Solid ICT knowledge is a definite advantage.

Must have an up-to-date knowledge of all relevant technologies in digital broadcasting production techniques including audio/video capture and distribution and IP networks.

Must be able to demonstrate effective leadership and management skills.

Must be able to demonstrate great planning and organization skills.

Standard Group Studio Business Manager Job Vacancies

Reporting to The Commercial Manager-Broadcast The incumbent is responsible for planning, coordinating, controlling and supervising the work of the team of Business Executives to generate and meet agreed individual and teams' volume against set annual revenue targets and to maintain excellence in relationship management.

Responsibilities

Develop strategies to help the Group increase its market share in new and existing business.

Generate monthly advertising revenues for KTN news against set targets

Recruit, train and offer strategic leadership to the KTN News direct sales team.

Manage sales efforts, including activities of sales representatives, negotiation, sales functions, and monitoring of contracts.

Establish systems and standards for regular assessment, monitoring and evaluation of the team against

the strategic aims and objectives.

Supervise personnel, this typically include recommendations for hiring, performance evaluation, training, accounts allocation, and problem resolution.

Analyze and appraise the effectiveness of sales, as well as allocate sales targets to sales representatives.

Provide cutting edge training on product, sales processes as well as account management.

Ensure a high degree of staff morale and discipline by providing performance-driven leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Communication or a related field from a recognized institution

Three (3) years relevant experience

Ability to motivate, coach and mentor.

Ability to create Business Concepts and translate them into new revenue.

Experience in Project Management will be an added advantage.

Ability to translate overall Group plans into operational plans.

Standard Group Studio Business Executive - Agency {Radio} Job Vacancies

Reporting to the Respective Business Manager. The incumbents will be responsible for generating revenue for the Group through servicing existing and recruiting new clients.

Responsibilities

Achieving set annual and monthly targets for Radio advertising sales.

To follow systems and standards desired to deliver highest customer service to clients.

Liaise with Credit control and clients regarding payment terms and debt collection while maintaining collection timelines.

Work with creativity and under minimum supervision.

Maintain close and effective contact with clients / agencies and ensure customer satisfaction.

Attend regular sales review meetings for updates and feedback.

To support, maintain and grow business contacts with both the existing and potential advertising clients and agencies.

Develop strategy to increase sales volumes and market share.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Communication or a related field from a recognized institution.

Marketing Society of Kenya, Chartered Institute of Management Professional Qualification or its equivalent from a recognized institution

Two (2) years relevant experience in agency media sales

Good interpersonal skills

Excellent written and communication skills

Team player

Prior experience with Agency Business will be an added advantage.
