Secours Islamique France Logistics Coordinator Location Jobs in Kenya


Introduction

Secours Islamique France (SIF] is an International NGO that is based in Paris, France. Founded in 1991, SIF is a non-profit and non-political organization dedicated to alleviate the suffering of the most vulnerable populations around the world. SIF intervenes wherever humanitarian assistance is required through the mobilization of emergency relief and/or the implementation of development programs. Today. SIF operates in some 20 countries and has been providing its assistance without discrimination as to ethnicity, religion, age or sex of its beneficiaries.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating, planning and following-up on logistics activities
  • Developing and implementing the Missions procurement/security plans
  • Ensuring SIF logistics and security procedures are respected
  • Contributing to the development of the Missions operational strategy
  • Preparing monthly reports to HO on logistics/security matters

    Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of senior humanitarian experience in logistics/security Substantial demonstrated experience in strategic thinking and analysis
  • Diploma/certificate education/training in logistics/security management
  • Solid understanding of project management tools
  • Strong written/spoken communication skills in English essential Fluency in written/spoken French would be an asset
  • Previous experience in working in Insecure environments
  • Ability to easily access Somalia and a solid understanding of the Somalia context would be valuable assets A commitment to SIF's mission and values
