Required Experience

  • A Master's degree in Medicine, Public Health with three years of experience delivering TB or TB/HIV services OR A Bachelor's degree with five years of professional exposure working in mid to senior management position.
  • A minimum of seven years of progressively increasing responsibility working for successful TB technical assistance programs.
  • Demonstrated expertise and experience in service quality improvement and operational research approaches.
  • Experience and experience in designing and implementing successful facility and community based integrated health services.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in successfully engaging in the private sector.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, depth and breadth of management experience.
  • Experience with integration of gender and youth analysis into health projects and services.
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing, and oral presentation skills.

    Required Experience

  • A Master's degree in monitoring and evaluation (M&E), epidemiology, bio-statistics, statistics, research methods or related field OR a Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of additional experience.
  • Six years of experience with research methodology for health programs demonstrating progressively increasing level of responsibility.
  • Excellent analytic skills coupled with proven ability in using visuals like graphs, chart, maps, and GIS.
  • Excellent ability in using data systems like DHIS2 and DATIM for reporting or analysis.
  • Excellent ability to articulate oral and written technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully moving analysis, evaluation and research findings to program actions.

    PATH Project Coordinator, RH Literacy and Empowerment Jobs in Uganda

    Job Description

    Responsibilities:

  • Support curriculum development consultant through review and providing feedback of curriculum materials.
  • Manage project activities and logistics, including administrative and technical support to group facilitators, such as ensuring facilitators have the need materials, creating work plans for individual facilitators, and undertaking monitoring/supervision of facilitated group sessions. .
  • Conduct “training of trainers” activities with facilitators who will lead reproductive health safe spaces for local participant groups.
    Supervise local NGO partners in Mayuge district to assure smooth implementation of project activities, such as ensuring the scheduling of biweekly group meetings for empowerment group participants, identifying venues to hold meetings, monitoring, as well as other related tasks are completed.
  • Collect monitoring reports from local NGO partners, and communicate progress through verbal and written reports to PATH staff in Uganda and the United States.
  • Facilitate the selection and contracting of a local research partner who will undertake baseline and end line evaluation activities, including monitoring of deliverables calendar, input on protocol and data collection tools, introductions to local partners and stakeholders, and administrative support as needed.
  • Serve as a point of contact for coordination of communications between facilitators and empowerment group participants and PATH staff in Kampala and in the United States.
  • Frequent travel to Mayuge district to supervise facilitators, meet with partners, and address logistical issues.
  • Other tasks and activities as required.

    Required Experience

  • A minimum of five years of experience working in sexual and reproductive health or family planning activities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing; public health, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Coordination and management of project partners, expenses, and work plans.
  • Experience with leading and facilitating group activities.
  • A high-level understanding of reproductive health, anatomy and physiology, and hormonal contraceptive methods.
  • Demonstrated interest in women’s health, education, or other empowerment activity.
  • Superior organizational skills demonstrated in managing scientific development work.
  • Proficient in project management tools, such as Microsoft Project and Excel desired.
  • Good analytical skills and global vision.
