Oxford Policy Management Jobs in Kenya

Oxford Policy Management Limited (OPM) is one of the world’s leading international policy development and management consultancies. We enable strategic decision-makers in the public and private sector to identify and implement sustainable solutions for reducing social and economic disadvantage in low- and middle-income countries.

Supported by a multinational team of more than 200 specialists on three continents, our success is based on a unique combination of high-quality analysis and 30 years’ practical experience of facilitating positive change in over 120 countries worldwide. The fields in which we operate range from health, education and the extractive industries through to public sector finance and administration, social welfare, and national statistical systems and household surveys.

Natural Resources and Energy
Over 50 countries globally are bestowed with abundant mineral resources and are dependent on the wealth delivered by their extractive industries. Governments of resource rich countries face the challenge of transforming mineral wealth into wider sustainable economic and social development, however without the appropriate economic policy, institutional capacity, infrastructure and skills development, face falling victim to the ‘resource curse’.

Our natural resources and energy team has a strong background in delivering projects for a range of organisations including donors, governments, foundations and the private sector.

The team has carried out economic and social impact studies for the mining industry and more recently for the oil and gas industry; designed and implemented reform programmes to strengthen the public institutions responsible for managing natural resources.

The use of political economy analysis to identify and inform the engagement with key stakeholders is a critical element of the flexible approach the team has developed for working in politically sensitive environments. The team aims to provide an impartial ‘dialogue platform’ to stimulate informed discussion on natural resources and energy policy between governments, private sector and civil society.
