Orange Telkom Project Manager Jobs in Kenya


Duties

  • Carry out project planning for assigned projects with a clearly documented plan involving all relevant stakeholders.
  • Carry out E2E project management for assigned customer projects as per project plan.
  • Implement and ensure adherence to project methodology and processes as adopted by Telkom Kenya in the management and execution of customer projects.
  • Manage the relationships with the customers during the implementations phase, until hand-over phase.
  • Ensure high standards in the quality of project management within the organization and continuous improvement on project processes.
  • Provide individual project tracking, consolidated progress reports, and provide required management reports.
  • Identify project risks and/or issues and implement necessary action plans to manage them so as to avoid potential delays and scope creep.
  • Follow up on the delivered products and solutions on an agreed regular basis with the customer to keep informed about the life cycle of the implemented customer solution.
  • Manage the project budget, monitoring the expenditures and costs against delivered and realized milestones as the project progresses.
  • Ensure that there is efficient allocation of common resources and skills within the assigned project portfolio.
  • Facilitate the appointment of individuals to the specific projects tasks for specific project results delivery
  • Managing both the dependencies and the interfaces between projects
  • Ensure project closure through a clear sign-off, billing initiation and handover to the post implementation teams.

    Qualifications

  • A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Telecommunications. PMP/Prince 2 Certification in project management is a requirement.
  • 2-5 years’ work experience in a project management environment with a track record in delivering ICT solutions within schedule, budget and quality.

  • Displays a bias for decisiveness by meeting the most aggressive timelines for delivering high quality proposals
  • Showing concerns for all aspects of the job, no matter how small. Checking processes and tasks accurately.
  • Be able to own the whole project management process and be comfortable holding people to account.
  • Be a natural communicator with excellent written and oral presentation skills.
  • Makes active attempts to influence events to achieve goals: self-starting rather than acting passively.

  • The person will be the project management champion in the projects team, providing coaching and mentorship to the other team members as a senior projects
    expert.
