7. Norwegian Refugee Council Skills instructor (Computer skills instructor) Jobs in Kenya
Skills instructor (Computer skills instructor) will report to the Project Officer- Education. Job descriptionDevelop and Prepare appropriate training materials for efficient and effective delivery of the skills.
Conduct training sessions as per the curriculum.
Conduct continuous assessment of learners and ensure that they clearly understand the skills.
Participate in the training curriculum development that suits the market needs.
Responsible for proper management of training materials, tools and equipment.
Ensure proper utilization of all project training materials, tools and equipment.
Ensure training materials, tools and equipment are safely stored after use by students
Responsible for basic repairs of machines, tools and equipment while executing duties.
Ensure close and good working relationship between the training centre and the community.
Prepare the learners to face life positively and with self-confidence and independently
Train students on skills relevant for use in the e-Hub to develop innovations.
Guide students on how to use the e-Hub
Curriculum implementation and evaluation
Managing training resources
Promoting community participation in skills development.
A diploma or higher National diploma in computer science from a reputable training institution.
Technically and professionally qualified vocational skills from a reputable training institution
Excellent interpersonal and Communication skills
At least 2 years relevant experience in hands on training on computer skills.
Proficiency skills in basic computer repair and maintenance.
Adaptable to new educational methods and approaches.
Clear vision ,Creativity, articulate, accurate and keen to detail
Flexibility, reliability and a team spirit
Ability to work long hours and in challenging situations

Duty station: Kakuma

NRC is seeking to recruit Logistics Officer (Procurement).
The Logistics Officer (Procurement) will coordinate the overall planning and organization functions of procurement for efficient and effective support of program implementation for the NRC Dadaab area programs.
The Logistics Officer (Procurement) report to the Logistics Coordinator - Dadaab.
Implement and train staff in NRC’s logistics policies and procedures at office level
compliance with NRC’s Logistics Handbook, other NRC policies and donor requirements in all procedures and processes
Provide anti corruption, transparency and cost efficiency focus in all processes (e.g. in procurement, vehicle management, asset management)
Training and development of logistics team at office level
Ensure effective and efficient logistics support for daily area operations including procurement and supplies, all being implemented in accordance within the policies and standards, as well as approved budgets.
Lead the tendering process including preparation of tender documents relating to construction materials and equipment.
Prepare procurement plans in conjunction with relevant departments.
Ensure that procurement status reports are up to date at all times and are shared appropriately.
Ensure that all procurement needs for Dadaab are being met in a timely and quality manner.
Liaise with Logistics Nairobi to follow up and monitor with the Logistics Coordinator on all orders.
Maintain monthly order overview and report on procurement performance indicators.
Ensure that all works and service contracts are done according to NRC’s Logistics manual, NRC’s Code of Conduct and Kenyan Labor laws.
Maintain and update local price lists.
Assign duties, supervise and appraise section staff.
At least 5 years’ of relevant working experience in procurement.
Bachelor degree in Logistics
National Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management, or Logistics.
At least National Certificate level training in Purchasing and Supplies preferred.

Education level: College / University, Bachelor's degree
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
High level of personal integrity
Good team leader
Organised and a good planner with excellent attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure
Significant understanding of complex emergencies
Understanding of various donors requirements
Excellent working skills with Microsoft Office and a database package.
Duty station: Dadaab
