NEMA Chief Human Resource & Administration Officer ( CHRAM )Job Vacancies in Kenya

Responsibility

  • Participating in formulation and review of human resource management policies, regulations and guidelines;
  • Coordinating human resource services in areas such as appointment, promotion, payroll management, discipline, pension, establishment and compliment control;
  • Implementing human resource management policies, strategies and programmes;
  • Administering staff remuneration, Benefits and welfare programs aimed at raising staff morale, increasing productivity and enhancing organizational effectiveness;
  • Implementing an effective human resource management information system for monitoring, tracking and evaluating employees’ activities, medical expenses, pension and welfare programs;
  • Ensuring resolution of employee grievances and disciplinary cases in a timely manner;
  • Ensuring correct interpretation and implementation of human resource management and development regulations, labour laws and other statues;
  • Analyzing staff progression and making proposals for career development and succession management;
  • Managing recruitment and selection process in the Authority to ensure timely filling of vacant positions within the approved establishment;
  • Coordinating design and formulation of staff development and training programmes that ensure the Authority remain skilled and competent;
  • Preparing and compiling reports on the implementation of performance management systems including performance appraisal systems;
  • Participating in human resource planning;

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines:- HRM/Development/Industrial Relations,Personnel Management,Public Administration,Business Administration, Social Science or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
  • A Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management/Development, Industrial Relations or the equivalent from a recognized institution;
  • Current membership certificate from Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) or another relevant professional body;
  • Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
  • At least Ten (10) years' working experience in Human Resource Management field, three (3) of which must be at a senior level;
  • Counselling and Problem Solving skills.
  • Demonstrated outstanding professional competence and administrative ability;
  • Excellent communication, report writing and interpersonal skills
  • Good exposure to understanding of computerized HR Information Systems

  • Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines;Economics,Statistics,Environmental Sciences,Geology,Hydrology,Quantity Survey,Photogrammetry,Remote Sensing,Geography,Forestry,Meteorology,Aerial Photography,Computer Science,
  • Environmental Management, Biometrics,Geo-Information science or any other relevant field from a recognized institution
  • Master's degree in any of the following disciplines; Economics,Statistics,Environmental Sciences,Geology,Quantity Survey,Photogrammetry,Remote Sensing,Geography,Forestry,Meteorology,Aerial Photography,Computer Science,Geo-informatics,Statistics
  • Management course lasting not less than four (4)
    weeks;
  • Knowledge in relevant computer applications
  • Nine (9) years'experience in the environment field;
  • Demonstrated professional ability,initiative and competence in environmental research.

    NEMA Senior Systems Analyst ( SSA ) Job Vacancies in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Providing overall responsibility for system analysis, design and programme specifications;
  • Formulating and enforcing ICT policies, procedures and systems;
  • Design, develop, implement and maintain databases and Information systems in the Authority;
  • Ensuring timely implementation and effective maintenance of systems;
  • Preparing progress reports of the ICT equipment maintenance;
  • Evaluating and recommending on the suitability of ICT equipment;
  • Providing technical support services for users as well as training computer/system users;
  • Designing Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN);
  • Coordinating and developing specifications, selection and evaluation of the Authority’s ICT requirement;
  • Appraising, Supervising & developing staff working under him/her.

    Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines; Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or any other ICT related discipline with a bias in Information Communication Technology from recognised Institution
  • Certificate in any of the following field:- MCSE/MCITP ( Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer/ Microsoft Certified IT Professional) or CCNA/N+ (Cisco Certified Network Associates/ Network+)
  • Knowledge in Web Development and Database administration/Management
  • Six (6) years' in ICT field;
  • Demostrated professional ability , initiative and competence in organizing and directing work;

    NEMA Senior Civil Engineer ( SCE ) Job Vacancies in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Inspection of commercial and residential development sites for compliance with environmental laws and regulations;
  • Ensuring adequacy of designs submitted as addendum to applications for licensing under Environmental Management and Coordination Act (EMCA) cap 387 regulations
  • Attending to civil engineering compliance and enforcement issues addressed to the Authority from lead agencies and advice the Director Compliance and Enforcement accordingly.
  • Assisting procurement section with necessary support for tendering process in respect of civil engineering contracts.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science (Bsc) Degree in Civil Engineering, or any other related field from a recognised institution.
  • Knowledge in Computer Applications.
  • Working experience in the field of civil engineering for at least three (3) years will be an added advantage.
