NCIC Procurement Officers Jobs in Kenya

The National Cohesion and Integration Commission was established to facilitate and promote equality of opportunity, good relations, harmony and peaceful co-existence between persons of different ethnic and racial communities of Kenya and to advise the Government on all aspects thereof.

The Commission intends to recruit a highly professional self-driven individual to fill the following vacant position:


Procurement Officer - NCIC 5
Reporting to:Senior Procurement officer

This position is responsible for acquisition of goods and services on behalf of the National Cohesion and Integration Commission in accordance with the Public Procurement and Disposal Act, 2005.

The position is also responsible for updating the website as per president executive orders.


Duties & Responsibilities

Monitor the National Cohesion and Integration Commission store operations to ensure adequate stock at all times and timely replenishment of stock

Sign acceptance certificates for the suppliers who meet the terms of reference on requisitions and rejection certificates for those who do not meet the threshold

Prepare procurement committees’ minutes and forward to the members to action

Approve stores requisition notes for onwards processing and release of stock to the department that made the purchase

Initiate the process of raising the Local

Purchase Order and Local Service Order after getting approval from the Senior Supply chain Officer

Raise requests for quotations from suppliers and analyze them to ensure they meet the terms and conditions

Schedule stock taking exercises

in the stores to ensure physical stocks tally with stocks on record

Manage supplier relationships and database

Consolidate annual procurement plans and submit the same to the Senior Supply Chain Officer for input to the strategic procurement plan at NCIC


Qualifications

Bachelors’ Degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce (Supply Chain management option) or an equivalent from a recognized institution

Two years’ experience

Excellent Organizational and problem solving skills

Strong work ethics with a solid sense of integrity
