Roles and Responsibilities

  • To develop evaluation protocol and support in implementation of project evaluation
    activities
  • Prepare project analysis plans and write detailed specifications for analysis files
  • Participate in the project data base design to ensure that data capture is aligned to the program objectives and expected result areas
  • Supervise and guide the SI teams on preparation for data entry, editing and validation.
  • Manage datasets/variables and perform data cleaning
  • Take lead in analysis and interpretation of both quantitative and qualitative data and ensure monthly updates of program score cards
  • Interpret program statistical data in order to identify significant differences in relationships among sources of information.
  • Prepare written interpretation of analyses and writes statistical sections of study reports and publications
  • Ensure accuracy, statistical integrity and regulatory compliance for all assigned projects.
  • Participate in preparation of required reports

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in biostatistics, statistics or epidemiology (related fields will be considered)
  • At least 4 years’ similar experience in a demanding environment
  • Working knowledge of epidemiologic concepts and methodology
  • Experience using STATA, SPSS, SAS and/or R for database management and statistical analysis.
  • Strong programming knowledge using a high-level programming language
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to write clear and concise technical documentation, summaries of various methodologies, and descriptions of statistical results.
  • Excellent communication, both oral and written in the English language, and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and efficiently work on multiple projects at the same time and sometimes under strict deadlines
  • Flexibility and ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple researchers
  • Ability to be consistently and extremely detail-oriented

    LVCT Health Monitoring and Evaluation Officer Vacancies in Kenya

    Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth running of data management systems
  • Ensure timely and correct data capture, analysis and reporting
  • Provide timely support in preparation and submission of quarterly and annual reports
  • Support in development and review and implementation of institutional work plans
  • Liaise with divisional and program heads to obtain relevant material for institutional
    reports
  • Respond to training needs of service delivery staff, program staff and partners on fundamentals of monitoring and evaluation as need arises
  • Timely updating of the donor reporting matrix.
  • Design logical frameworks and indicator collection plans for all programs as assigned
  • Assist in the design and implementation of institutional data collection instruments as well as monitoring and evaluation methodologies.
  • Support the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data and present fact sheets from programs
  • Develop and regularly review monitoring and evaluation processes, procedures and databases.
  • Undertake RDQA for assigned programmes and give feedback to the sites/programs on data and data quality issues.
  • Support Research activities as need arises.
  • Give leadership in SIMS and CQI exercises
  • Provide supervision and direction to data entry personnel
  • Attend M&E TWG meetings to represent the organization in relevant meetings.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 3 years’ experience, in a similar position in a fast paced, Multi-tasking environment
  • Training and experience in database management
    and statistical packages such as SPSS, Nvivo
  • Experience in implementing programmes will be an added advantage
  • Demonstrated analysis, communication, interpersonal, report writing and presentation skills
  • Proactive, creative, systematic thinker and problem-solver

    LVCT Health Regional Director Vacancies in Kenya

    Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for project activities in liaison with the PI
  • Provide technical guidance for project implementation ensuring with input from donors
  • Facilitate engagement of technical staff with the PI, donors and other program teams in the organization
  • Lead the team to develop annual work plans and quarterly/monthly implementation plans with budgets for successful project implementation.
  • Responsible for timely and quality reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis to donors, counties and the organization in accordance with the established M&E systems
  • Monitor and review program activities on a regular basis tracking performance against
    targets, working closely with the HQ, M&E and project teams and provide leadership during donor visits to sites
  • Work with HR and PI to coordinate staffing levels, staff placement, training and performance management for regular and locum staff in the region
  • Responsible for donor communication with appropriate delegation to other team members when required
  • Establishing and fostering relationships with relevant stakeholders including county governments, beneficiary groups and other implementing partners in the region for
    effective implementation of projects and visibility.
  • Identify and evaluate risks associated with program activities and take appropriate actions to control them
  • Oversight for sub-grantees performance and contractual engagements

    Requirements

  • MBCHB/MD with master’s degree in Public Health/Social Sciences, MBA or a related
    field
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in managing donor funded or other large projects
  • Demonstrated financial and operations management experience
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing programs, monitoring, evaluation
    and reporting
  • Clear understanding of MOH and public health systems
  • Up to date with latest developments in HIV Prevention and HIV programming in general
  • A leader with ability to manage relationships, communicate clearly, supervise staff and enforce organisational systems.
  • Demonstrable leadership, decision making and delegation skills
  • Experience working with PEPFAR dealing with major grants will be an added advantage
