4. LVCT Health Manager, Knowledge and Information Management Jobs in Kenya


Job Description:

To provide knowledge, information management and communications support to meet the needs of LVCT Health in a timely, effective and efficient manner. To advise the Executive Director and the Directors on knowledge management and information systems. To lead development,planning and implementation of the organisation’s knowledge management strategy within agreed structures and build staff capacity for communications and research uptake.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • To lead, planning and development of a new Knowledge Management Strategy for the organization.This will involve working closely with the Executive Director and Heads of Departments
  • Provide support to program staff and work closely with heads of departments to provide oversight for implementation of the knowledge management strategy within programs including:
  • Support inclusion of knowledge management and communications in implementation plans
  • Develop specific communications plans and materials for projects
  • To translate technical documents and outputs into communications materials to suit various audiences
  • Engage and liaise with staff across LVCT Health to actively plan ahead and identify upcoming opportunities that will raise the profile of the organisation externally
  • To represent LVCT Health with external stakeholders and donors in workshops and meetings and online
  • Support development of tools for monitoring of knowledge management progress and effectiveness
  • Provide oversight to the design of the LVCT Health website
  • Serve as a liaison with media houses and manage relationships with external service providers
  • Coordinate development of and maintain up to date content on the organisation’s websites
  • Assess pre-existing capacity in knowledge management practice within LVCT Health, identify and respond to gaps including training program and research staff to package and disseminate processes and results; encouraging employees to share knowledge, ensure staff are aware of the knowledge management resources available to support their work, are using the systems efficiently and productively
  • Provide project management support to programs which will include:
  • Contributing to formal periodic reporting by gathering, collating, editing and designing information on knowledge management work and impact
  • Monitoring progress against agreed timelines and milestones
  • Support the development of proposals

    Requirements
  • A master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Advanced working knowledge of relevant computer software (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, multimedia, social media, design and publishing software)
  • At least 4 years’ experience in Knowledge management in a medium to large NGO or a diverse environment with at least one area of high specialization in knowledge management
  • Experience in developing content and working with content management systems for websites and web editing
  • Experience in translating research& program content into messages accessible for target audiences; Designing posters and IEC materials
  • Proven experience in development of Knowledge and Information Management strategy
  • Relevant project management and general management experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including experience of producing engaging communications aimed at pre-identified target audiences
  • Excellent interpersonal,communications and relational skills with the ability to work co-operatively and productively within a team
  • Able to multi task, prioritize workloads and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

    5. LVCT Health Technical Advisor - Care & Treatment Jobs in Kenya

    Job Description:

    To provide technical advice and oversight in the implementation of HIV clinical care in coordination with the Ministry of Health and LVCT Health staff

    Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Providing technical support in development and implementation of work plans
  • Providing technical support in design and implementation of paediatric, adolescent and adult HIV programs
  • Providing technical support to a team of program officers in LVCT Health and to MOH staff including training and mentorship
  • Capacity building of clinical team on HIV matters through CMEs, mentorship and dissemination of new knowledge
  • Liaising with Ministry of Health officials and other stakeholders in the implementation of the program in line with Ministry of Health guidelines and priorities
  • Take part in drafting of monthly, quarterly and annual reports and other written materials such as lessons learned, human interest stories and other materials as required
  • Development of job aids, tools and materials as needed including CMEs for use at DICE level to support health care workers to provide HIV services
  • Assisting in program monitoring and evaluation and use of data to inform program planning and continuous improvement as well as research as needed
  • Represent LVCT Health in various forums including technical working groups.

    Requirements
  • Medical Officer with 2 years post internship experience
  • Experience in TB/HIV care management in Kenya
  • Key population programming experience is an added advantage
  • Working experience in donor funded public health program is an added advantage
  • Ability to work well with others and to develop and maintain relationships with project staff, donors, sub-contractors and other partners
  • Ability to identify problems, design interventions and oversee their implementation
  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Kiswahili

    6. LVCT Health Monitoring and Evaluation Officers Jobs in Nairobi, Kenya

    Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth running of data management systems
  • Ensure timely and correct data capture, analysis and reporting
  • Provide timely support in preparation and submission of quarterly and annual reports
  • Support in development and review and implementation of institutional work plans
  • Liaise with divisional and program heads to obtain relevant material for institutional reports
  • Respond to training needs of service delivery staff, program staff and partners on fundamentals of monitoring and evaluation as need arises
  • Timely updating of the donor reporting matrix.
  • Design logical frameworks and indicator collection plans for all programs as assigned
  • Assist in the design and implementation of institutional data collection instruments as well as monitoring and evaluation methodologies.
  • Support the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data and present fact sheets from programs
  • Develop and regularly review monitoring and evaluation processes, procedures and databases.
  • Undertake RDQA for assigned programmes and give feedback to the sites/programs on data and data quality issues.
  • Support Research activities as need arises.
  • Support in conducting baseline, development and end-term evaluation of all the sub-partners, for new projects and end-term evaluations to assess achievement of planned outcomes. Both at system level and program achievement.
  • Document best practices from programs and M&E, support programs in data mining and development of programs’ abstracts.
  • Give leadership in SIMS and CQI exercises
  • Provide supervision and direction to data entry personnel
  • Attend M&E TWG meetings to represent the organization in relevant meetings.

    Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 3 years’experience, in a similar position in a fast paced, Multi-tasking environment
  • Training and experience in database management and statistical packages such as SPSS,Nvivo
  • Experience in implementing programmes will be an added advantage
  • Demonstrated analysis,communication, interpersonal, report writing and presentation skills
  • Proactive, creative,systematic thinker and problem-solver
