1. Medical Director for Health Clinic


Lalmba Association is a small, Colorado-based NGO that operates a Health Clinic, HIV

Treatment Center, Mobile Medical and Education program, and orphan programs on the shores of Lake Victoria. We are looking for U.S., Canada or European licensed Physicians, physician assistants or nurse practitioners to act as Medical Director.

Lalmba pays no salary but covers all expenses related to travel to/from Kenya, and working and living in Kenya (visas, immunizations, airfare, room and board, medical & life insurance).

We are only able to consider candidates currently located and licensed in the U.S., South America, Europe and Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
The Medical Director will provide the leadership and management of Lalmba’s Kenyan medical programs, including the health clinic, HIV treatment center and mobile clinics, as well as supervising local medical professionals.

Qualifications:
Qualified candidates are Physicians (Pas and NPs may also apply) who have a current medical license to practice in the U.S., South America, Europe or Canada, and a desire to serve the poor. Knowledge of tropical medicine is not required.

2. Public Health Director
Key Responsibilities:

This person will provide the leadership and management of Lalmba Kenya’s public health programs.

This includes overseeing mobile clinics
providing ante- and
post-natal care, planning and executing public health projects (such as
community education groups, severe malnutrition interventions, promoting and providing HIV awareness programming, etc.) and supervising and training the local staff who work in these programs.

Qualifications:
  • Qualified candidates are MPHs with minimum 1-2 years’ work experience, or RNs with management and public health experience.
  • Must have good organizational and leadership skills and be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Must be willing to work in a very rural location. Personnel management skills and/or experience are required.
  • MUST be currently located in U.S., Canada, South America or Europe.
