Kisii University ICT Officer {Systems Administrator} Jobs Openings in Kenya
ResponsibilitiesSoftware development and database administration
Design systems and assess the effectiveness of technology resources already in use or new systems that are being implemented.
Determine the practicality of changes and modification of systems.
Supervise staff under your jurisdiction.
Performing any other duty as may be assigned from time to time by the Head of the Department.
Doing System backups, test backup or recovery plans regularly and resolve any problems.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences from a recognized University.
Demonstrated three years of experience working with ERP systems, preferably in a University
Proficient knowledge of common client operating systems; including MS Windows, OSX, and Linux desktop software.
Proficient in Microsoft Active Directory as implemented in Microsoft Windows Server 2012, and implementing multi-forest relationships.
Must stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and the potential effectiveness of these advancements in their current system.
Have competence in database management
Masters degree will be an added advantage

Responsibilities
Participate in development and review of relevant curriculum
Prepare practical manuals and deliver the practicals
Evaluate students’ performance through setting, administering, marking
and processing practicals
Organise field trips for students to gain real industry experience
Participate in preparation of course outlines for guiding in course delivery
Develop course delivery modules
Keeping updated student records
Participate in all research related activities as assigned by the principal
researchers.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree qualification from a recognized/accredited University in Foods, Nutrition and Dietetics/Food Technology with at least three years post qualification work experience.
Be registered by a relevant professional body (KNDI)

Kisii University Lecture Research Fellows Jobs Openings in Kenya
Responsibilities
Identify key research areas that meet the national and international needs and are not fully explored so as to institute necessary research on the same to fill the existing knowledge gaps.
Develop research proposals based on research gaps identified in existing literature, previous research findings and collaborative exchange of ideas with professionals in their specific areas of expertise for use in seeking grants and conducting actual research.
Undertake research through collaborative efforts with other professionals in the specific discipline so as to generate new knowledge or bridge existing knowledge gaps.
Engage in dissemination of research findings to the society through presentations in seminars, conferences and other formal public awareness platforms so as to equip the society with new discoveries and knowledge
Ensure proper management of assigned research funds for the funds to support
actualization of research goals as well as for accountability
purposes
Supervise research programs for undergraduate and post graduate students so as to ensure they engage in meaningful research for enhancement of the existing body of knowledge
Qualifications
A Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification (or a Master’s degree qualification in special cases) in Nutrition or food science from recognized/accredited university.
At least four (4) years teaching experience at university level
Four equivalent publication points
Been registered by the relevant Professional Body (KNDI).
