Kenya Power is enhancing its databank pool for Call Centre Agents should vacancies arise in future.

The Call Centre Agents will be responsible for promotion of positive customer relations, attending to customer queries and complaints, coordinating power restoration and customer queries resolution, providing customers with information on company services and products, advising customers on status of their electricity accounts, handling routine telephone calls and other performing other delegated duties.


  • Final Certificate in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Management, Communication, Customer Service, Telephone Services, Human Resource Management, Front Office Services or other comparable qualifications.
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Training/experience in manning a Customer Contact Centre will be added advantage
  • KCSE C- (Minus) with good passes in Languages

    2. Massive Recruitment of Kenya Power Trainee Engineers

    The Kenya Power & Lighting Company Limited seeks to recruit one hundred (100) electrical engineers under the Company’s Graduate Engineer Apprentice Programme.

    We are looking for brilliant, dynamic, innovative and talented individuals with demonstrable potential to excel in the engineering field.

    The applicants should be recent graduates from recognized universities as from 2012 and after with BSc degree in Electrical Engineering preferably in heavy current (2nd Class Honours) or its equivalent.

    The applicants must also have registered as Graduate Engineers with Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) and should have been attached while on training preferably in an engineering concern.

    Successful candidates will undergo a one-year training program at the Company’s Training School (Institute of Energy Studies & Research).

    The training program will cover theory in specialized aspects of the business accompanied by practical attachments/exposure within various installations and operations of the Company. On successful completion, they will be absorbed in various business units of the company.

    3. Kenya Power Procurement Jobs

    Reporting to the General Manager, Supply Chain, the Supply Chain Manager, Procurement will be responsible for provision of procurement secretarial services and timely and cost effective availability of required goods, works and services.

    Key responsibilities;

  • Implementing strategies on procurement of goods, works and services to support achievement of corporate objectives
  • Providing procurement secretarial services to the Company
  • Developing procurement plans in liaison with users and as per company goods/works/ services and financial requirements
  • Coordinating procurement of quality materials and services to support business operations
  • Complying with Public Procurement & Disposal Regulations
  • Ensuring materials procured meet tender specifications
  • Implementing purchasing schedules in liaison with user departments
  • Executing procurement contracts to ensure adequate material availability
  • Utilizing technological initiatives to improve the supply chain processes
  • Ensuring procurement operations safeguard Company interests and value for money


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Advanced Degree will be an added advantage
  • Graduate Diploma in Purchasing & Supplies or equivalent
  • Membership of Professional bodies
  • Ten (10) years working experience.
