16. Artisan III (Plumber) Jobs in Kenya - Job Scale: Band 3 - I Post

Terms of Service: Permanent

Duties and Responsibilities

Read blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal, and water and steam supply systems

Cut, assemble and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g. electrical wiring)

Install and maintain water supply systems

Locate and repair issues with water and steam supply lines (e.g. leaks)

Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc.

Repair appliances (e.g. washing machines) and fixtures (e.g. sinks) etc.

Install and maintain gas and liquid heating systems (air-conditioning units, radiators etc.)

Requirements for Appointment

Craft certificate in Plumbing or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

At least one (1) year experience in automated factory processing.

Duties and Responsibilities

Examine detailed drawings or specifications to find out job, material and equipment requirements.

Set up and adjust working machines and equipment.

Operate machines to produce parts or tools by turning, boring, milling, planing, shaping, slotting, grinding or drilling stock or components.

Fit and assemble parts, tools or sub-assemblies, including welding or brazing parts.

Cut, thread, bend and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines.

Dismantle faulty tools and assemblies and repair or replace defective parts.

Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment or computer controlled machines.

Check accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools or sub-assemblies.

Requirements for Appointment

Craft certificate in Fitter General or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

At least one (1) year experience in automated factory processing.

Duties and Responsibilities

Visit and encourage farm managers to adopt best practice techniques by providing exposure to new knowledge, information, skills, inputs and processes.

Assess individual properties and making technical recommendations for improved production and sustainability.

Collaborate with County Agriculture authorities, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries and other relevant agencies/organizations in development and research trials.

Identify and interpret current research needs for regional communities and enterprises.

Organize and manage field days, speak at grower groups, write fact sheets

and give reports.

Collaborate with production staff to ensure traceability of finished products.

Requirements for Appointment

Higher National Diploma in Agriculture/Horticulture or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

2 years experience in extension services.

Driver class G/F an added advantage.

A certificate in Computer application.

19. Driver Jobs in Kenya - Job Scale: Band 3 - 2 Posts

Terms of Service: Permanent

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure proper loading and unloading of merchandize.

Precisely finish all paper work connected with conveyance of merchandize.

Transport products, materials, and staff safely and securely to areas where they are needed.

Guarantee that products and staff are protected and secured.

Ensure timely vehicle conveyance of staff and materials to and from places as instructed by supervisor or the manager.

Ensure that vehicles are kept perfect and clean at all times by washing both the inside and outside parts of the vehicle.

Carry out routine checks on vehicles and ensure they are sound.

Recognize electrical and mechanical faults and report for repair.

Report any instance of mishap or accident to the supervisor.

Perform periodic maintenance on vehicles, such as changing batteries and motor oil at appropriate time, as well as refuelling.

Report any case of accident, injury or damage of vehicles to the supervisor or manager.

Keep all records, including receipts for vehicle maintenance.

Keep up a travel log to record areas travelled to, travel time, and work hours.

Perform some other administrative undertakings.

Pay tolls and other fundamental vehicle demands as required.

Requirements for Appointment

KCSE D+ (Plus) and above .

At least three (3) years experience in institution driving.

Valid Driving License Class A,B,C,D,E

Suitability test for Driver Grade III.
