The institute has embarked on an aggressive expansion and growth programme in line with its strategic plan 2017-2020.(2017 – 2021) To deliver this mandate KIM has recently concluded a reorganization and seeks to fill the position of Business Development Executive

Responsibilities

  • Markets and sell open training, consultancies and in house trainings for the SME department to both potential and existing clients.
  • Initiate client/prospect meetings for new sales opportunities through booking appointments.
  • Interface with existing strategic customers to solidify mutual expectations of performance and growth.
  • Enhance relationship management for new and existing business to maintain and grow the customer base.
  • Make presentations to potential clients to promote new products and special deals available.
  • Carry out market intelligence and giving constant feedback to the business on trends in the market.
  • Ensure timely collection of payments from clients after service delivery.
  • Develop consultancies proposal for potential assignments.
  • Responsible for proposal development for sourcing of business.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Business related field
  • Three (3) years of relevant work experience

    Responsibilities

  • Attend to customers through responding to their queries and providing guidance where necessary.
  • Receive correspondences for the institution, sign for receipt and facilitate dispatch to the respective office or persons.
  • Capture visitors’ details in a visitor's’ registrar and issue visitors card for identification purposes.
  • Collect customer feedback and prepare weekly reports to help in improving products /services.
  • Cross selling the Institute's products to potential and existing customers to aid the department in meeting its targets.
  • Conduct live chats with potential customers who visit KIM Website to ensure they are well informed and they receive all the needed customer support.
  • Manage SMS code through generating daily SMS reports and respond accordingly to enhance efficient communication with customers.
  • Follow up on online applications to convert online leads to customers.
  • Participate in marketing campaigns to create awareness of KIM products.
  • Responsible for proper arrangement and layout of the front office to ensure good ambience and display of Institution’s promotional materials.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Communication or any other related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in a large organisation in an active commercial environment

    Kenya Institute of Management Head of Marketing, Business Development and Communication Jobs

    Responsibilities

  • Develop the marketing strategy for new and existing products and oversee implementation of the strategy including campaigns, digital marketing, events and Public Relation;
  • Manage, coach and mentor the brand, marketing services, events and in-house design and production teams to provide a full range of marketing services, including integrated campaign management from concept development through to delivery;
  • Develop and deliver KIM's brand strategy and full range of marketing services to enhance the institute’s brand;
  • Develop and deliver corporate communications strategy to raise KIM’s profile and brand awareness, including development of suite of communication material to define and elevate all products and service offerings;
  • Oversee preparation of Institute publicity materials such as brochures, documentaries, e-shorts to increase visibility and marketing;
  • Lead and coordinate CSR activities including devising long-term CSR programmes that can give visibility to the Institute’s work as well as enhance the
    product's’ profile.
  • Support Business development for all KIMs’ products and services to generate revenue for the institution;
  • Grow membership through recruitment of new members and maintain good relationship with the existing members through constant communication and encouraging feedback;
  • Provide operational and strategic advisory on memberships benefits both individual and corporate members and oversee its execution;
  • Oversee and implement membership events through development of themes/agendas, seeking relevant speakers, developing communication and ensuring execution;
  • Seek sponsorship for membership events through development proposals, negotiating with prospects and partnership management;
  • Oversee and implement governance related activities such as elections, annual branch meeting and annual general meetings;
  • Consolidate departmental reports such performance reports, reports for Membership committee, business committees and management committee;
  • Ensure timely collection of Members subscriptions fees through active follow up for payment collections;

    Qualifications

  • A Master's Degree in a Business related field from a recognized institution
  • Eight (8) years’ experience in a large organization with at least three (3) years leading a function in an active commercial environment.

    Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the training function for Diploma and Certification courses at KIM branch within the region.
  • Coordinate the preparation of training schedules using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), consolidated and claims timetables for processing.
  • Give initial approval of topics proposed for research by students in liaison with the supervisor in order to avoid duplication, plagiarism, and ensure relevance to the students’ course
  • Oversee the research project supervision process in line with KIMSOM guidelines by attending defense sessions to check on quality and ensuring that documents conform to the Research format. Also availing the format and APA Style of referencing at photocopy bureau and internet.
  • Approve students project defense, prepare defense lists and allocate panelists for supervisors who should attend defense
  • Process monthly claims for lecturers such as salary claims to facilitate timely and proper compensation.
  • Coordinate the Continuous Assessment Test (CAT) and Work Based Assignment (WBA) administration process to ensure adherence to the laid down policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate the lecturers and students evaluation process on a quarterly basis and communicate the outcomes.
  • Maintain data base on class attendance by both students and lecturers as a way of monitoring the training process.
  • Initiate or hold disciplinary meeting involving students and lecturers .
  • Oversee recruitment of new lecturer and facilitate the orientation/training of new lecturers and students to facilitate their on boarding process.
  • Issue admission letters to students to inform parents/sponsors on level of admission and the respective fees.
  • Coordinate the preparation and maintenance of nominal rolls to inform student progression.
  • Responsible for communication of deadlines to lecturers, staff and students such as those regarding admission, fee payment and CAT/WBA scores submission etc.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business related field or any other related field
  • Three (3) years of relevant work experience
