Responsibilities

  • Study the requirements, tech specs and process workflow provided and develop programs or new functionality as appropriate. Develop and program software into JEMS systems using .NET.
  • Provide users with orientation and training on JEMS and other systems developed in-house.
  • Ensure all source code created is properly documented.
  • Conduct continuous system analysis, specification, and development to keep JEMS and other systems performing optimally and current with changing requirements and technologies.
  • Establish appropriate methodologies, processes and standards for application development.
  • Ensure all software is adequately tested and debugged before being released into general use.
  • Ensure that all changes on systems bugs are communicated and listed in the appropriate repository.
  • Familiarize self with the JEMS operational processes as well as the SDLC and RFC process.

    Job Qualifications

  • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree and Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD) and MCSD
  • 4 years’ experience in similar capacity.
  • Experienced in all aspects of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Proven experience in development of a client server applications in NET and various scripting languages.
  • Skilled in database design and development with good understanding of database normalization.
  • Good understanding and operational knowledge of database objects like stored procedures, triggers and UDF’s; OOP design and development: HTML DOM, traversing the DOM and DOM methods: XML (XPath) and JSON data structures; web-services/ restful applications; asynchronous methodologies and technologies e.g. Ajax and jQuery; agile methodology; MVC.

    Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, tune, and implement relational databases and procedural database code using Microsoft SQL Server, for the JEMS development, testing, and staging environments.
  • Define, maintain and implement database infrastructure level standards (naming, coding, security, SQL, databases objects)
  • Design indexing, referential integrity, constraints, data types, database objects (tables. views, indexes, stored procedures, triggers)
  • Work with Net developers to support application requirements and optimize database queries.
  • Advise developers on the most efficient database designs (tables, datatypes, stored procedures etc.)
  • Identify and recommend changes to poorly performing SQL to the application developers, object statistics gathering, data level migration, schedule application jobs to perform data maintenance
  • Maintain physical database documentation (instances, servers, databases)
  • Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to production deployment preparation.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years relevant experience
  • Expert knowledge of updating and upgrading SQL Server and server internals (e.g. performance tuning & optimization, wait stats)
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience in T-SQL including complex SQL queries (e.g. using various joins and sub-queries) and best practices
  • Experience with SSRS, complex query design, stored procedures, views and functions
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in working under the agile methodology.

  • Work closely with
    Jhpiego management and Software Development team to identify and maximize opportunities to use information and technology to improve business processes
  • Prepare project work plans, define & manage implementation lifecycle and coordinate documentation Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements
  • Ensure all project tasks are according to budget and meet all Jhpiego standards, including deadlines

    Qualifications

  • 5 years’ experience in a project management position involving ICT/ EPP implementation – Project Management certification e.g. PMP or PPINCE2
  • Team player with sound experience in people and change management, negotiation and planning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to effectively communicate with senior management, technical staff, as well as non-technical end users
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to abs volumes of technical data.

    Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Jhpiego management and software development team to identify and maximize opportunities to use information and technology to improve business processes.
  • Assist departmental heads in automating current business operations into JEMS to support the function/ business.
  • Review, analyze, and create detailed documentation of business processes and user needs.
  • Work with programmers to prototype and carry tests on new products to ensure that the product meet user requirements and are effective.
  • Define, develop and technical specifications, implement quality assurance practices and procedures, end user test plans and other quality assurance assessments.
  • Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; reporting on progress and recommending actions and improvements.
  • Work with support staff on user guide manual development and training user exercises. Required

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (Masters preferred)
  • 3 years’ experience working in a fast-paced business environment preferably in finance & administration.
  • Current knowledge of technologies and technology standards and an understanding of the constraints and benefits of each.
  • Knowledge and experience in proficiently handling software development projects.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and analytical skills.
  • Experience in writing policies, procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Any relevant business analysis professional certifications an added advantage
