Job Summary

  • Responsible to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer-Finance for management of accounts, reconciliation and members personal accounts.

    Responsibilities

  • To prepare and manage the production of the Annual Reports and final Accounts and the associated supporting evidence and reconciliations.
  • Production of statutory based set of management accounts, including balance sheet on monthly basis, using the information to produce monthly management accounts.
  • To develop long-range forecasts and maintain long-range financial plans.
  • To develop, maintain and monitor all fund raising and accounting systems and procedures capturing all pledges, billings, and receipts and for the recording of all revenue transactions, recommend and implement improvements in the systems.
  • To prepare annual audit and be a liason with all outside vendors.
  • To produce as required any Ad-hoc reports required by management.
  • Provide training, guidance and support to the accounting team.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned.

    Performance Measurements

  • Timely monthly, quarterly and end year reports
    Accuracy of postings
    Successful management of Accounts Department

    Requirements

  • Possession of B.Com, BBM, B.A-Economics, (Accounting & Finance) option or its equivalent with CPA (K). Possession of MBA an added advantage.
  • Relevant work experience 5 years in a Sacco/Financial environment in a Senior Management position.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Minimum Age 30 years.
  • Membership of relevant professional body.
  • Possession of B.Com, BBM, B.A-Economics (Accounting & Finance) option or equivalent with CPA (K).
  • Must have served in Accounts/Finance for a period of 3 years in a Senior Management position after attaining the above qualifications.
    Computer literacy.
  • Membership of relevant professional body.

    Job Summary

  • Responsible to the Chief Executive Officer for providing strategic direction, manage and execute the Internal Audit Activity, coordinate specific processes to support the implementation and execution of the Audit Plan.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • To plan, organize and carry out the internal audit function including the preparation of an audit plan which fulfils the responsibility of the department, scheduling and assigning work and estimating resource needs
  • To report to both the audit committee and management on the policies, programs and activities of the department
  • To coordinate coverage with the external auditors and ensure that each party is not only aware of the other's work but also well briefed on areas of concern
  • To make recommendations on the systems and procedures being reviewed, report on the findings and recommendations and monitor management's response and implementation.
  • To provide both management and the audit committee with an opinion on the internal controls in the SACCO.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned.

    Requirements

  • Possession of B.Com, BBM, B.A-Economics (Accounting & Finance) option or its equivalent with CPA (K). Possession of MBA an added advantage.

    Job Summary

  • Responsible to the Chief Manager Operations for Human Resource Affairs of the Sacco.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review and implement the existing Staff Human Resource Policy Manual as approved by the Board.
  • Ensure implementation of staff performance contracts and appraisals.
  • Ensure the maintenance of the staff payroll system.
  • Ensure review of Staff Training needs and recommend to the CEO-for consideration.
  • To implement a clear Industrial Relation process and procedures in order to ensure smooth operations of staff matters.
  • To consider and approve staff annual leave up to Grade M10 and to recommend leave for Grade M11 to M1 to the CEO for approval.
  • To deal with all Legal Matters pertaining to the Sacco including contracts, Service Level
  • Agreements etc including attending to Court Sessions.
  • To liase with other stakeholders as regards Human Resource Matters such as FKE, Ministry of Labour and Employment and Labour Relations Court.
  • To liaise with the Insurance providers.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by a Senior Officer.

    Requirements

  • B.Com, B.SC, BBA, BBM (Human Resource option) or its equivalent.
    Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management.
  • Diploma in Co-op Management an added advantage.
  • 5 years’ experience in a busy institution or Sacco.
  • Computer Literacy.
  • Minimum age 30 years.
  • Must be a member of relevant professional organization.
