IDI Makerere Janitor Jobs in Uganda

General Summary

The janitor will ensure the public spaces such as the wards; patient examination rooms, bathrooms and toilets are clean and well maintained thus reporting any mechanical or technical issues of the facility to the facility crew.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for locking and unlocking the facility early in the morning and in the evening.

Restocking restroom paper products and toiletries.

Ensuring proper hygiene and neatness of both the interior and exterior of the facility.

Do seasonal inspection of the facility.

Do minor repairs of damaged things in the facility.

Be cautious and watchful of safety of items in the facility.

Person Specification

Qualifications, skills and experience

Uganda Certificate of Education.

Basic knowledge in HIV care.

Speed and accuracy at performing tasks.

Demonstrated ability to work in a team.

Good communication skills.

Flexibility to work long hours, which may occasionally extend beyond normal working hours in order to complete critical tasks.

Ability to speak local languages.
