Hotel Group Commercial and Litigations Advocate Jobs in Kenya


Responsibilities

  • Consult and handle all corporate legal processes concerning the hotel(e.g. intellectual property, mergers & acquisitions, financial / securities offerings, compliance issues, transactions, agreements, lawsuits, patents)
  • Develop hotel policy and position on legal issues.
  • Research, anticipate and guard hotel against legal risks. This entails examining national, international and local laws to identify any rules they must follow or conflicts that might arise.
  • Guide managers and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
  • Structure, draft and review reports and other legal documents.
  • Represent hotel in legal proceedings (administrative boards, court trials etc.)
  • Draft and administer all hotel contracts.
  • Negotiate deals and attend company meetings.
  • Administer training workshops.
  • Formulate employee handbooks.
  • Analyze legal issues relating to proposed products.
  • Representing the corporation before administrative boards and court trials.
  • When necessary, collaborate with other lawyers, clients or government agencies to execute paperwork or complete transactions on the hotel’s behalf.

    Qualifications

  • Proven comparable law firm experience.
  • Proven background on corporate law (contract law, tax law, accounting, securities law, bankruptcy, intellectual property rights, licensing, zoning laws).
  • Excellent negotiation and communications skills.
  • Administrative and managerial skills.
  • Analytical ability and strong attention to detail.
  • Computer skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law with specialization in Commercial & Litigations.
  • Current license to practice law.
  • 4 to 5 years of experience in the field of Commercial & Litigations.
