Responsibilities

    sure the organization’s goals for access and retention for children in sponsorship
    service are met.
  • Empowers parents with knowledge.
  • Oversees compilation of children case reports.

    Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in child sponsorship programmes in other relevant International NGOs.
  • Good reporting skills and creative ideas
  • Coordinating skills; able to plan, set priorities and follow ups
  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Bachelor degree in community development, psychology, sociology from reputable university.
  • Experience in child and youth counselling will be added advantage.
  • Conversant with child rights and protection.

    Good Neighbors Kenya NGO Head Office Accountant Jobs

    Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper implementation of financial procedures, systems and internal
    controls according to accepted accounting standards.
  • Select and enter data from variety of documents, ensure accuracy in calculations
    and attach necessary supporting invoices or receipts of payments and payment authorizations.
  • Record all expenses and receipts in the QuickBooks in a timely manner. Monitor
    the unposted items in the cash book and take necessary steps to clear them.
  • Initiate, verify and process financial transactions and payments for Head Office,
    Area Office and project offices related to staff and non-staff costs, purchase orders,
    local purchases, etc., based on authorizations received requisitions and other activities with the aim to ensure accuracy of financial data, adequacy of supporting documents and maintenance of proper accounting records.
  • Reconcile cash books and justify any difference in reconciliation; prepare cash
    counts and to reconcile with the cashbook on a monthly basis
  • Compare cash books with bank statements to compute gain and loss in exchange rate on monthly basis and liaison with officials of local banks to obtain day-to-day information on exchange rates, Prepare financial tables, special reports and other ad-hoc reports.
  • Undertake in the process of Internal and External Audit.
  • Replace and assist other colleagues in the team and perform other related financial
    and administrative duties as required.

    Qualifications

  • At least bachelor degree major in Finance and Accounting.
  • Knowledge of using Quick Books
  • 5 years working experience in Accounting and Finance field.
  • Strong computer skills in Excel and Word.
  • Good accounting concepts and knowledge with strong financial and numeric skills.
  • Good communication and problem solving skills.
  • Experience with KOICA funded projects or other government subsidy funded project such as USAID, UKAID, SIDA, JICA is strongly added advantage.

    Responsibilities

  • Coordinate development and implementation of special funded program activities.
  • Grant and proposal writing as appropriate to the objective of funding nature of the program
  • Building networks of influential groups in the community like local government and unions to involve into GN works as consultants or champions.
  • Collect and analyze data; prepare scheduled and special reports;
  • Oversee and supervise all project activities for Good Neighbors
  • Prepare documentation for approval and registration in collaboration with construction coordinator
  • Lobbying government and other authorities for achieving our mission
  • Building networks of project-related experts and influential groups to be involved into Good Neighbors
  • Assist in preparation and submission of monthly reports on progress of the different projects undertaken
  • Conducting of the need assessment
  • Developing of the project implementation plan and making plan for sourcing of the various equipment and items for the facilities operations

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with five (5) years’ experience working in the position.
  • Experience with KOICA funded projects or
    other government subsidy funded project such as USAID, UKAID, SIDA, JICA is strongly added advantage.
  • Experience working with UNHCR and/or other UN agencies preferred.
  • Ability to have networking and partnership.
  • Good proposal writing skills with clear understanding of M&E, Project Design methods
  • Ability of Creative thinking, problem solving, strategic planning, persuasive communication.
  • Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports.
  • Good reporting and Computer skill (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Presentation).
  • Fluency in English.
  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
  • Able to conduct community participation and mobilization.

    Responsibilities

  • Lead in the development and refinement of Monitoring and Evaluation Plans and questionnaires for the assessments. The Coordinator will also review and approve any MEL tools developed by CDP field teams.
  • Take the lead in supporting of any external evaluation consultancies.
  • Participate in proposal writing and grant evaluations.
  • Provide coaching, tailor individual development plans, and complete performance
    management for direct reports. Monitor and assess performance to ensure capacity for successful support of high quality programming
  • CDP formation and redesigning within Kenya Good Neighbors operation areas.
  • Coordinate the design and implementation of accountability systems for Kenya Good Neighbors.
  • Build the capacity of all organization staff to plan and implement effective accountability systems
  • Set-up new / strengthen existing community feedback and response mechanisms across the organization as needed

    Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in any of the mentioned disciplines; Social sciences, Community Development or Project management.
  • Should have over 5 years’ experience in project management cycle in other
    relevant organization
  • A good understanding of M&E systems.
  • Experience in data collection and management at various levels of project management

    Responsibilities

  • Recruiting staff this includes developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, short listing, interviewing and selecting candidates.
  • Schedules induction of new employees and the new employee’s immediate superior who will run through the main points of the Human Resource Policy and carry out a detailed induction, respectively.
  • Maintains personnel files and ensures that files are up to date.
  • Preparing staff hand books
  • Developing and implementing policies on issues such as working conditions, performance management, disciplinary procedures, and absence management.
  • Tracks and records absences, lateness, under time and overtime to ensure that appropriate deduction are applied.

  • Knowledge of related statutory compliance regulations, employment and labour laws, tax laws and HR principles
