Our client, Freight Forwarders Kenya Ltd. is a leading logistics company with presence in Kenya and across East Africa. They are seeking to recruit a Head of Business Development to focus on the organization’s business processes.

Freight Forwarders Kenya Internal Auditor Jobs

Purpose

The primary role of the job is to support the achievement of internal audit department objective of providing independent assurance that the Group’s risk management, governance and internal control processes are operating effectively.

Responsibilities:

Implement the annual audit work plans for all financial systems to ensure compliance
Undertake specific audit tests and procedures to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of financial systems.

Appraise the prudence of accounting, financial, business process and other operating controls established to mitigate potential risks and or detect their occurrence.

Prepare comprehensive audit working papers and audit reports to ensure that internal audit quality and standards are observed.

Undertakes audits on revenue and expenditures from time to time to ensure controls are maintained all the time

Conducts follow-up audits with Auditee to determine whether appropriate action has been taken on areas audited.

Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and make recommendations on areas requiring improvement.

Analysis and forecasting work in conjunction with Head of Reporting and Analysis

Other financial analysis and administrative support to Head of Corporate Reporting and Analysis

Any other duties as

assigned from time to time

Job Qualifications:

Bachelors’ degree in either finance or accounting

Professionally qualified (ACCA /CIA/ CPA)

At least 3 years financial experience, through public accounting/auditing and/or industry experience

Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases

Ability to perform detailed analytics on data, make appropriate conclusions and compile detailed reports

Knowledge of enterprise risk management and internal controls
