Dream Africa Schools are from the house GEMS, a global provider in nursery and primary schools across the world.

In Uganda DAS operates on the principle of ‘Education for all’ with a simple and explicit goal of “Providing high quality education at an affordable cost”. Dream Africa has various branches in Kampala, Wakiso, Mukono and Jinja.

Key Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to)

Creating, organizing, and sharing marketing assets and tools, including photography, videography, documents, and templates

Copywriting and editing in brand voice and tone across blog, email, and social media

Keeping on top of education reform stories in the media and curating a weekly media digest email to internal & external audiences

Serving as a community manager across Dream school Facebook groups and other online communities

Visiting our school communities to source stories, create photo and video content, and build

relationships

Sourcing, drafting and publishing daily social media content across all channels aligned to an editorial and messaging calendar

Monitoring, listening and responding to conversations on social media to facilitate connections and increase brand engagement

Executing organic and paid social marketing campaigns to support student recruiting and talent recruiting on Facebook’s Ad Manager platform

Support website maintenance and compliance for our school-specific pages

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Strong passion and commitment to social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion in education

Experience working with communities similar to the communities that the school serves.

Experience in communications, marketing, PR, design, or journalism

Experience managing social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn

Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills – you must be an excellent writer

Professional and customer-focused with strong relationship-building skills

Strong attention to detail and project management skills

College degree in a relevant field

Fluent in English & Luganda – strong writing and translation skills

Basic Adobe Creative Suite Editing Skills: Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro

Proven photography and videography experience

Experience working in/with elementary schools

Remuneration:

Up to UGX 3.5 Million
