DRC NGO ERP Coordinator Kenya Jobs

DRC has been providing relief and development services in the Horn of Africa since 1997. Using a human rights framework, the DRC East Africa and Yemen (EAY) operation focuses mainly on people who are affected by displacement, including refugees, internally displaced, and migrants in Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Uganda, Tanzania and Yemen.


The EAY Regional office also supports non-operational initiatives, focusing on mixed migration issues, civil society engagement, and advocacy and policy initiatives related to displacement.

The ERP General Coordinator Regional HOSS, is expected to substantially contribute to the Management of major initiatives which are required at the country or regional level prior to the implementation of the ERP system.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate a coherent and comprehensive alignment of the schedule, scope, requirements, pre-requisites, risks and goals of the ERP programme among managers at country/regional level.
  • Present DEMOS and ERP Objectives before implementation
  • Identify or act as project manager for major initiatives prior to the implementation of the ERP system, including the assurance that such initiatives are completed in a timely manner.
  • Set up and maintain a reporting, communication and meeting structure with country/regional management which ensures that the communication and change management activities of the ERP Programme is presented to country/regional management.
  • Work closely with CD/SMT and Change manager to develop a communication plan in country on ERP
  • Support Area offices on general implementation of ERP
  • Prepare a training schedule in liaison with the Country Directors, for communication with Regional ERP Coordinator and HQ Project Team
  • Coordinate in country training plan for Heavy users and Light Users for Supply Chain
  • Coordinate regional training and work as the link with Regional Coordinator to confirm trainees
  • Coordinate and review nominated trainees for clearance with CD and submission to RO
  • Ensure IT pre-requisite requirements are implemented on time
  • Coordinate Data migration exercise with respective country HODs for timely RO submission
  • Provide regular updates to country CD/SMT on status of ERP implementation.
  • Attend regular meetings with RO to provide status update on implementation
  • Flag challenges or areas that require decision on ERP implementation with CD/HOSS
  • Liaise with Country HOSS for licenses with RO/HQ
  • Ensure effective ERP Budget Provision and management in close coordination with HOSS/CD

    Moreover, we also expect the following:

  • Experience and technical competencies:
  • At least 3 years’ proven experience in implementation of an ERP system
  • A degree in IT related field and/or Business Administration; Master’s Degree Preferable.
  • Experience in working in an International NGO
  • Proven experience with assessing and strengthening institutional, organizational and technical capacity
  • Ability to work under pressure and with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams
  • Ability to train end users on Information Management systems
  • Highly experienced and skilled to trouble shoot ERP systems
  • Excellent inter-personal, communication and negotiation skill
  • Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and adaptability
  • Experience working in insecure environments and willingness to travel within the region
  • Experience in East Africa Region & Yemen will be seen as an advantage

    Conditions

  • Availability: 1st August 2018
  • Duty station: Nairobi – Kenya;
  • Reporting: This position reports Regional Head of Support Services
  • Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension
  • Contract: National contract in accordance with DRC terms for National staff in Kenya.
