Davis & Shirtliff Solar Technician Jobs in Kenya

The Davis & Shirtliff Group is the leading supplier of water and energy solutions in the region. The Group is Kenyan based and operates through a network of Kenyan branches as well as regional subsidiaries in Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Rwanda, South Sudan and DRC. The company has over 600 highly trained and professional staff spread across the region and seeks to fill the following positions to be stationed in Nairobi.

Applications are invited for the position of Solar Technician at the head office in Nairobi.

Job Responsibilities

Carry out solar site surveys & installations for: Off Grid Solar PV, Solar Hot Water,Solar Water Pumping, Solar Grid Connect, Power Back up systems and Solar Street lighting systems.

Daily customer support and troubleshooting.

Assist in performing repair works at our electronics workshop and maintaining warehouse inventory.

Carrying out technical service visits and provide technical support as required.

Qualifications

Higher National Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

3 years’ experience and knowledge of technical solar services.

T1 or T2 Solar PV Technician Registration.

Experience in installation and configuration of SMA & Victron inverters.

Critical Competencies;

Self-motivated, disciplined and effective team player.

Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

Ability to provide technical sales support.
