Cytonn Investments Network Security Internship Jobs in Kenya

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, manage and maintain network and systems security including firewalls, servers and endpoint security
  • Maintain system security by sourcing and updating necessary security patches and analyzing security reports to identify trends
  • Deploy, administer and troubleshoot access control and CCTV Surveillance systems
  • Provide end user support and training, explaining complex concepts clearly
  • Performing L2 switching and L3 routing in network design and hardening.
  • Install, configure, deploy and troubleshoot Active Directory services, DHCP and DNS server.
  • Implement a Network Admission Control system
    Document information security tools, processes and procedures.
  • Perform network penetration, network vulnerability assessments, and IT audits to identify cybersecurity loopholes within the network infrastructure
  • Performs computer forensics and e-discovery.
    Troubleshoot OSI layer and TCP/IP related problems
  • Any other functions as may be assigned by the supervisor

    Qualifications

  • Knowledge and/or experience with threat analysis and penetration testing methodologies and tooling
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or specialized training / certification.
  • A grade of B+ and above in KCSE (or equivalent) with good grades in math and languages
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and UNIX/Linux environments
  • Good knowledge on cybersecurity and information security
  • At least one network or security certification is needed. (CCNA or CCNA security)

    Cytonn Investments Risk and Compliance Associate Jobs in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement the Risk and Compliance framework and Policies;
  • Proactively identify all material operational risks across the organization and at each business unit level as per Cytonn’s approved risk identification methodology.
  • Effectively assess and measure all material risks in accordance with Cytonn’s adopted approaches;
  • Ensure the effective management of Cytonn’s material risks through adequate process controls and ensure adherence thereto as well as implement specific action plans to manage the risk causal factors;
  • Ensure that appropriate and/or adequate controls are in place at all times to effectively manage Cytonn’s risks to within acceptable risk appetite;
  • Ensure the effective management of risk through the prudent allocation of risk capital that is consistent with the approved measurement approach;
  • Effectively monitor significant operational risk exposures as well as material losses and escalate the same to senior management for information and/or action;
  • Develop robust key risk indicators to serve as early warning indicators of increased risk, with appropriate risk threshold levels to provide a sound platform for the effective monitoring of risk exposures;
  • Review all reports from internal/external audit, rating agencies and other assessing agents and ensure that identified risks are monitored and adequately managed;
  • Provide Business Continuity Management (BCM) oversight by monitoring to ensure that the Cytonn’s business continuity capability is compliant with applicable guidelines and to perform all such other BCM related tasks as may be assigned by the Risk and Compliance Manager;
  • Ensure that Cytonn’s Risk Management Framework (guidelines, policies and procedures) is effective, current, and complies with best practice.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of Cytonn’s risk tools (risk register, key risk indicators, risk
    and control self-assessments, etc.) through training, awareness and frequent monitoring;
  • Prepare timely, comprehensive and reliable risk reports to senior management and board on a monthly and quarterly basis;
  • Attend Cytonn meetings, both internal and external from time to time as may be requested by the Risk and Compliance Manager;
  • Undertaking all such other roles and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time

    Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or other relevant quantitative business discipline from a recognized university with a minimum Upper second class honours
  • A minimum of B+ in KCSE
  • At least 3 years’ professional experience in risk management
  • Business product knowledge, including an understanding of Real Estate environment and processes to be able to determine their impact on risk and control
  • A professional qualification or certification in risk management is preferred
  • Applied knowledge of Operational Risk Management tools (e.g. Risk Register, RCSAs, KRIs, Escalation Matrix, Stress Testing, Scenario Analysis, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and other risk management system skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong numeracy, analytical, strategy and research skills
  • Great planning, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to explain complex issues and present technical information clearly
  • Capacity to work independently and cope with pressure and responsibility
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
  • Strong control awareness

  • Develop the Enterprise Risk Management framework for the group
  • Guide integration of enterprise risk management with other organizational planning and management activities
  • Liaise with departmental heads in ensuring completion of quality departmental risk registers
  • Work with Audit, Risk and Compliance Board committee in ensuring the identification and prioritization of risks and reporting of the same
  • Develop a risk management system and train departmental risk champions on implementation
  • With regards to BCM perform annual BCP/DR risk analysis, planning, testing or live execution for the business
  • Analyse identified trends in the key risk indicators report
  • Establish and quantify the group's risk appetite
  • Implement compliance obligations, including risk and control assessment and support incident management related to compliance failures;
  • Undertaking all such other roles and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or other relevant quantitative business discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of second class upper honours
  • Minimum of B+ in KCSE
  • MBA will be an added advantage
  • At least 6 years’ progressive experience in audit and risk management; 2 of which should be at management level
  • Certified member of a relevant professional body
  • Applied knowledge of Operational Risk Management tools (e.g. Risk Register, RCSAs, KRIs, Escalation Matrix, Stress Testing, Scenario Analysis, etc.)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
