County Government of Kiambu Director Water and Sanitation Jobs
ResponsibilitiesAssignment of work, check and manage work allocated to juniors;
Coordinate and take responsibility of all work related to water and sanitation
within the County;
Program and ensure all deadlines on water and sanitation infrastructure
development and provision are met;
Formulate water control guidelines in accordance with the provisions of the Water
Act;
Review and initiate improvements in the policy framework;
Prepare, implement, monitor and evaluate water programs in the county;
Implement water and sanitation policy in the
county;
Coordinate different units of the water and sanitation sections;
Assist in the planning of water resource development by forecasting and monitoring water usage and rainfall;
Coordinate design, activities including preparation of specifications, tender contracts;
Coordinate feasibility studies with view of identifying viable projects;
Qualifications
BSc. Civil Engineering/ BSc. Water and Environmental Engineering, BSc. water
Engineer;
A Master’s Degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
Must be able to design or oversee projects involving provision of potable water,
disposal of waste water and sewage infrastructure, or prevention of flood-related damage;
Ten (10) years relevant experience;
Must be able to prepare environmental documentations for water resources;
Must be able to prepare regulatory program compliance, data management and
analysis, and field work;
Perform hydraulic modelling and pipeline design;
Must be computer literate in relevant computer aided design knowledge and skills.
Compliant with Chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on integrity

County Government of Kiambu Director Natural Resources and Forestry Jobs
Responsibilities
Supervise natural resources programmes, control and coordinate functions in the
natural resource section;
Develop, Implement and evaluate relevant divisional structures, plans, programmes and projects in natural resources sector;
Oversee preparation of annual work plans and financial budgets and coordinate activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees;
Develop and conduct programs to manage county natural resources including wildlife;
Make recommendations to acquire land based on ecosystem management, recreation needs and state needs and directs land acquisition efforts;
Evaluate and verify employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques;
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Forestry, Range management or related fields from a recognized institution;
A Master’s Degree in relevant fields will be an added advantage;
Computer literacy;
Knowledge of relevant professional standards affecting the operations especially the code of ethics;
Knowledge on relevant legislation relating to range management;
At least 5 years’ experience in a senior position in a related field.

County Government of Kiambu Director Energy and Climate Change Jobs
Responsibilities
Research and initiate Climate and Energy related program/activities in the County;
Coordinate the technical Climate and Energy work in the Department;
Assist in the development and implementation of local Energy and Climate action
plans as well as monitoring reports;
Develop and continuously update awareness and information materials on climate change and energy;
Monitor the implementation of the climate and energy initiatives in the County;
Support the overall Data Management, Monitoring and Reporting;
Support the department in other management tasks related climate, environment
and energy as directed by CEC or Chief Officer;
When Require Represent the County in conferences and technical meetings.
Qualifications
At least 5 years of postgraduate
professional experience;
A Master Degree in a relevant field (e.g. energy, climate change, Environment,
Nature Resources, urban planning, etc);
Technical knowledge of climate change, energy planning, general environmental
issues, and climate risk assessment;
Experience in database management, analysis and reporting;
Good knowledge of the multilateral agreement and initiative in climate change;
Good communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to lay audiences;
Experience working with/for local authorities and diversity of teams;
Good knowledge of County’s and Country’s policies and regulations in the field
of climate and energy;

County Government of Kiambu Land Valuation Assistant Jobs
Responsibilities
Inspection and valuation of properties for preparation of fixed and movable assets register and inventory;
Assessment of ground rent;
Assessment of property rent for county owned or leased properties;
Compulsory acquisition and assist in preparation of valuation rating rolls;
Any other duties that may be assigned to him by the Director.
Qualifications
Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Land Economics, Real Estate, Valuation and Property
Management, or its equivalent from a University recognized in Kenya
Computer literate;
Have met the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya; and Public
Officer Ethics Act 2003.

Responsibilities
Overall coordination, management and administration of Enforcement and
compliance of County legislation and policies;
Inspection of enforcement and compliance of trade permits, and other related
standards as prescribed from time to time;
A thorough knowledge of handling Human Resource Issues is a prerequisite;
Ensure protection of County property and strategic installations, exit and entry barriers in the County;
Development, implementation and evaluation of enforcement and compliance strategies and policies in the County;
Mapping all areas in need of enforcement services;
Enforce all County laws and other relevant legislation;
Provide mutual aid and assistance to other law enforcement agencies as requested and/or circumstances dictate;
Conduct inspections in the County installations to ensure the assets are secure;

Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from a University recognized in
Kenya;
Ability to handle disputes and solve problems amicably;
Good understanding of County laws ,policies and procedures;
Experience in County Government administration is an added advantage;
Must be a Member of a professional body in his or her area of discipline;
Be conversant with policy formulation, implementation and enforcement;
Be a strategic thinker and result oriented;
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of devolution;
Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on leadership and integrity;
