  • CARE's East, Central and Southern Africa Regional Office (ECSARO), based in Nairobi, Kenya, is responsible for the oversight of CARE's operations in the region as well as the provision of support to 15 Country Offices in the region.
  • We are looking for bright, dynamic and resourceful person to take up an exciting challenge in the capacity of Regional Recruitment Coordinator, to be based in Nairobi with flexibility to moderately travel to Country Offices in the region. Specifically we are looking for someone whose passion lies in connecting individuals to roles that fulfil their own highest potential to contribute to CARE's mission of multiplying impact in the communities where we work.

    Responsibilities

  • Manager, Regional Recruitment Coordinator will be responsible for full life-cycle recruiting (end to end recruitment) in the East Central and Southern Africa region.
  • S/he will be responsible for consulting with hiring managers/area to understand their recruitment needs, develop innovative and creative sourcing strategies to leverage diverse high caliber candidates, pre-screen candidates to assess their qualifications through
    a combination of behavioral and competency based interviewing, monitor requisition status to ensure an efficient recruitment process.

    Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree would be necessary for this position, preferably in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a relatable field.
  • 5 years proven work experience as a Recruiter. Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency-based, stress etc.
  • Hands on experience with various selection processes (phone interviewing, reference check etc).
  • Experience with recruiting software - specifically the Taleo system. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with a wide range of management styles within the Region and build relationships.
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and appropriately gather and analyze information.
  • Strong decision-making skills. Experience with Social Media (Facebook, Linked-In, Twitter, etc.) highly valued.
