Job profile

CAFOD works with partner organisations to combat poverty and injustice and to build a strong and dynamic civil society. We are looking for a highly-motivated Programme Development and Funding Officer to work in partnership with local organisations to bring about real change in the lives of poor people and translate our plans for development and justice into reality.

Job role

You will support our programme staff and partners in developing high quality programmes and projects, ensuring that we and our partners obtain significant institutional donor funding for our development and humanitarian work, maintaining and strengthening our relationship with key donors.

You will support programme development and implementation in line with CAFOD’s Regional strategy ensuring donor compliance.

Your profile

You will be fluent in English with excellent spoken and written communication and interpersonal skills, inter-cultural sensitivity and confidence in dealing with a wide range of NGO partners.

You should have experience of developing successful funding applications for institutional donors as well as participatory project design and the use of analytical tools.

We also expect you to be able to demonstrate knowledge of developing and implementing monitoring systems to track the effectiveness of programmes and an ability to build cooperative, professional relationships with donors.

You must have the right to work in Kenya.
