Credit Assistant Internship Opportunities

BIMAS is seeking to offer internship opportunities for those interested in working within the microfinance sector as loan officers.

These candidates will work as interns and will be given an opportunity to be trained in all areas of Credit operations.

Internship programs run for 3 (three) months).

Qualifications

  • Must be computer literate
  • Have attained a Minimum of C plain at KCSE
  • Be at least 23 years and above
  • Completed a Diploma in business administration, business management , cooperative management or its equivalent
  • Be willing and ready to use a motorbike ( those with a valid riders license will have an added advantage)
  • Be a person of high integrity, results oriented, open to learning, fast learner, self-driven and a team player.

    BIMAS Kenya Limited a renowned microfinance organisation seeks to fill the position of a Loan Officer.

    Reports to: Branch Manager

    Duty station: Branch office (This is an entry level position)

    Job Responsibilities

    The person will be responsible for:


  • Sustainable growth in accounts of an active clientele base through communication and sales of products and services to enable the branch perform to its expectations.
  • Maintenance and growth of a healthy credit portfolio through prudent loan administration, management and compliance with policies, procedures and best practice.
  • Preparation and presentation of comprehensive, timely & reliable reports to provide information, aid in decision making and gauge performance of both the officer and the branch
  • Preparation and maintenance of records and valuables by ensuring that all the documents are filed and kept in a systematic manner for easier tracking & retrieval.

    Qualifications

    Candidate must possess:-


  • Be 25 years and above
  • Be a holder of at least a diploma in co-operative management or its equivalent.
  • Have a Minimum of a C plain at KCSE
  • Have at least 2 years relevant experience
  • Should be willing to ride a motorbike ( those with valid riding licence will have an added advantage)
  • Holder of valid certificate of good conduct.

    BIMAS Kenya Limited a renowned microfinance organisation seeks to fill the position of an ICT Assistant.

    Reports to: ICT Manager

    Duty station: Head office with frequent travel to the branches

    Job Responsibilities

    The person will be responsible for:


  • Install, support and maintain servers and other computer systems, including BIMAS applications, databases and communications systems
  • Apply systems updates/patches and configuration changes
  • Development and maintenance of software applications
  • Assist in integration of new technologies into existing computer systems environment
  • Ensure BIMAS IT systems security
  • Ensure availability of computer systems and infrastructure
  • Maintain BIMAS IT asset register
  • Maintain and implement IT equipment maintenance schedule
  • Installation and maintenance of computer networks (LAN & LAN)
  • Document systems configuration
  • Prepare manuals and documentation for future reference and troubleshooting
  • Train users on IT systems.
  • End user support
  • Monitoring and ensuring issues reported on the Help desk are resolved

    Qualifications

    Candidate must possess:-


  • Be 25 years and above
  • Be a holder of at least a diploma in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / IT or its equivalent. (Degree holders will have an added advantage).
  • Have a minimum of a C plain at KCSE
  • Have at least 2 years of experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Java programming language
  • Web development skills HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript
  • Demonstrate working experience in development and maintenance of mobile applications
  • Experience working with database systems Oracle and SQL Server
  • Knowledge in Network ( wireless, Structured Cabling) design, configuration and administration
  • Strong understanding of computer systems security.
  • Those with a strong understanding of banker’s realm.net core banking system will have an added advantage.
  • Holder of valid certificate of good conduct.
