Responsibilities

  • Support the study midwives and counsellors at the different health facilities to ensure smooth recruitment activities, share personal experiences with study participants on participation in research studies as well as disclosure of HIV status to their partners and other close family members,
  • Encourage participant adherence to care and those with adherence problems to share their experiences,
  • Share information with study participants regarding psycho-social support so as to support their retention in the study,
  • Guide study participants to various clinic units or hospitals as may be required, Perform any other duty as may be required from time to time.

    Qualification

  • The candidate must have at least two (2) years' experience as a peer mother

    Baylor Uganda NGO Study Nurse Jobs Opportunities

    Responsibilities

  • Perform patient triage, monitor vital signs, and other specialized nursing procedures, as appropriated to the specific needs of the study and individual participants,
  • Monitors, observes, and records participant's response to treatment and other medical problems as appropriate,
  • Conducts participant counselling, and serves as adjunct to other counsellors in the study,
  • Provides general overview and concept of the study to potential participants,
  • Completes CRFs and source documents ,
  • Identifying and screening study potential participants for the study, obtaining all necessary information ,
  • Conduct general examination , carryout study specific procedures for all potential or study participant's pre and post entry into the study, and refer appropriately participants who need further management,
  • Take off study specific samples required from the study participants after consent, package them well and hand them to the laboratory personnel for shipment,
  • Collect and file any required data for completion of Case Report Forms during their interaction of the study participants including photocopying and certifying the required original documents from health facility,
  • Prepare and submit weekly study screening and recruitment reports to the study coordinator, the study team and key stakeholders.

    Qualification

  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing/midwifery, knowledge of HIV/AIDS Research
  • The candidate must have at least one (1) year working experience in clinic assessment skills in a large hospital or related institution

    Responsibilities

  • Review research source forms for completion, Transcribe research source forms into case report forms,
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of case report forms, Submit reviewed case report forms to data for entry,
  • Communicate with senior study staff about Quality Control issues,
  • Liaise with research staff to resolve data queries from central data centres, Conduct quality control review of informed consent forms and process,
  • Compile quality control reports for study teams, Work closely with safety reporting coordinators to make sure issues regarding safety of research participants are addressed in a timely manner,
  • Liaise with hospital staff ensuring hospital records are received and retumed to their respective hospital wards,
  • Conduct quality control training for new staff, Write minutes of meeting for QC team when chairing the team meetings, Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the relevant authority.

    Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or
    Degree in public Health or Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community health from a recognised institution.
  • The candidate must have at least three (3) years of experience in Quality control & quality assurance approaches in research with (2) years' experience of hands on service delivery related to health programs/ projects.

    Responsibilities

  • Provide general overview and concept of the study to potential participants as appropriate,
  • Administer interviews to study participants, and complete CRFs and source documents as appropriate,
  • Review each form and questionnaire to ensure that all of the questions were asked and that all of the solicited data has been recorded.
  • Furthermore, ensure that any relevant comments were duly registered,
  • Daily collection of study data within the stipulated timelines as per allocated study protocols,
  • Maintain high levels of confidentiality in regard to participant information and data while observing GCP guidelines and regulations,
  • Keep all research documents secure and complete data transfer forms while transferring data to another staff,
  • Collect and file any required data for completion of Case Report Forms (CRFs) during their interaction of the study participants including photocopying and certifying the required original documents from health facility,
  • Prepare and submit weekly study interview reports to the study coordinator, the study team and key stakeholders.

    Qualification

  • A Degree in Social Sciences, Community Psychology and any relevant degree
  • The candidate must have at least two (2) years of working experience in health research institutions and (2) two years' experience in conducting qualitative interviews.
  • Fluency in Luganda as a language both written and spoken

    Responsibilities

  • Review submission packages and facilitate submission to Ethical and regulatory bodies,
  • Develop and maintain tracking system to assess progress on submission,
  • Maintain up-to-date regulatory binders,
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures that streamline regulatory procedures ,
  • Correspond with Ethical and Regulatory bodies,
  • Ensure timely renewal of practicing license and registration certificates of researchers,
  • Ensure proper filing of study documents in properly labelled files while tracking documents coming and leaving the office, Ensure feedback to project leaders, about all documentation, submissions and communications
  • Archiving of completed studies documents,
  • Ensure payments are made to regulatory authorities in a timely manner,
  • Ensures that all study procedures and reporting are conducted
  • Ensures that all source documents are appropriately stored and maintained,
  • Serves as the primary liaison between the CRS, investigators, sponsor, IRBs, and other regulatory bodies for all regulatory-related matters,
  • Ensures that all SOP, protocol, and regulatory mandated timelines and IRB reviews are followed,
  • Participates in internal, regulatory, and NIH compliance audits,
  • Provides training for regulatory and protocol related policies to study staff,
  • Completes forms/ source documents.

    Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Degree in Public Health, Public Administration & Mgt or Office Management ,
  • Bachelor of Administration or any related Degree.
  • The candidate must have previous research experience in managing regulatory documents & short courses on research methods.
