Job Title: Director ICT & Research

Reports To: Executive Director

Department: ICT & Research

Vacancy: 1

Main Purpose

Responsible for the development, governance and
management of research functions and ICT services across
the Commission. The role provides strategic and
administrative leadership to the functional delivery of high
quality ICT services and research and operationalizes ICT and
data applications to deliver optimal performance

Education and Professional qualifications

A Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering,

Computer Science or any other related field in Science
Technology;

Project Management
Working Experience

Experience of at least 10 years of working of which five
(5) years should be in senior management/leadership
experience in a similar corporate setting.

Vast and successful experience in managing multiple
ICT disciplines and bringing together diverse functions to
achieve excellent results in a user focused environment.

Demonstrated experience in business process analysis,
project planning, risk management and budgeting,
including the deployment of resources to achieve
objectives and quality.

Experience in excellent stakeholder management,
including successfully managing complex stakeholder
relations.

Good understanding of the major components
supporting a complex shared ICT service;

Competencies

Strong technical acumen with an adept understanding of
technological/ICT trends

Passionate and highly skilled in research

Demonstrated ability to get to the essence of a new
concept quickly.

implementation of ICT projects

Job Title: Senior Officer Infrastructure Management

Reports To: Manager Information Technology

Department: ICT & Research

Vacancy: 1

Main Purpose

To plan, design and coordinate Network and backend
infrastructure initiatives, developments and implementations
necessary to support and enable smooth and optimal
operations of business operations, applications, business
process automation and electronic communications.

Education and Professional qualifications

A Master’s degree in IT, or related ICT field;

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related ICT
fields

IT certifications, with specific bias to Infrastructure and
Network planning and administration, e.g. CCNA, CCNP,
Network+, MCP (Networking options), etc.

Working Experience

Four (4) years of experience in administering large
corporate ICT infrastructure environments.

Competencies

Strong technical acumen

Planning and deploying Computer Networks, Virtual
Private Networks, and firewall configurations.

Planning, deployment and maintenance of MS Windows
and Unix/Linux based systems.

Administering Storage Area Networks and Virtualized
Servers using VMWare.

Knowledge of unified Communications solutions
