Tours and Travel Consultant

Their responsibilities / activities on a daily basis would be;

Responding and following up on client requests;Issuing tickets and booking accommodation;

Researching, developing and creating interesting holiday packages to be sold to various clients including companies, groups and individuals;

Selling holiday and travel products to customers; through anticipating the needs of the clients ;

Meeting sales targets as set out by the travel agency manager;

Dealing with complicated customer itineraries and translating them in a way that the customer understands them;

Handling customer orders and payments;

Liaising with tour operators and other key partners such as hotels and airlines regarding bookings and schedules;

Undertaking general administration;

Advising clients about passports, vaccinations, visas, foreign currency, travel insurance, car parking, car hire abroad and excursions in resorts;

Dealing with complaints and responding to the clients in a way that they feel heard/vilified;

Using and updating IT skills, since information on holiday packages and bookings is usually accessed via a network;

Organizing displays of promotional material.
