Stop TB Award for Excellence in Reporting on Tuberculosis

Journalists from developing countries have until April 30 to submit published articles that raise awareness of Tuberculosis (TB) and Multidrug-Resistant TB (MDR-TB) to a contest that will award cash prizes to three winners.

The Stop TB Partnership and the Lilly MDR-TB Partnership have launched this Journalism Award to recognize astute reporting on TB and MDR-TB that enriches the public’s understanding of the disease in affected countries.

The first place winner will receive US$3,000; second place, US$2,000; and third place, US$1,000.

Submissions should have been published between March 1, and March 31, in newspapers, magazines, or Web news services in the journalist’s country of residence. Articles may be co-authored.
