The Out of Home Media Association (OHMSA) and its members established the OHMSA Awards, to reward and acknowledge excellence in creative artwork used in outdoor advertising media.
The increase in advertising platforms has given rise to many creative talents developing artwork in a most appealing, insightful and impactful way that truly brings brands alive.
Interest and the number of entries to these awards has increased year on year, so much so that an additional category has been established this year, The Student Award.
This award provides up and coming local talent, studying advertising and design, to express and showcase their raw creative genius.
The OHMSA Awards are open to all South Africans who have developed creative artwork which has been publically displayed on an accredited outdoor platform during 1 October up to and including 18 December.
The Awards, now in their third year, seek to bestow upon local creative talent an appreciation of excellence in outdoor advertising.
The medium itself has grown year on year, with a plethora of creative work which is highly visible and truly deserves the recognition that an OHMSA Award gives.
The Best of Show overall winner will win a fully paid trip for two to attend the International Outdoor Advertising Awards event (The OBIE Awards) in New York on 6 March.
The winner of the student award will receive a cash cheque of R 10, 000 towards their future studies.
