McKnight Foundation Grants

McKnight Foundation work to provide children and families with the skills, knowledge, and resources necessary for children to thrive and transition successfully to adulthood.

The Africa Grants Program is a discrete part of the McKnight Foundation's overall philanthropy. Its goal is to foster women's social and economic empowerment in Tanzania, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.

Africa Grants Program seeks to increase women's access to skills and economic opportunities that will help them gain greater control over their lives. In addition, the program tries to help women participate more fully in their households and communities as equal decision-makers.

Requirements:
To be eligible for a grant from the McKnight Foundation, an organization must be classified by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt, nonprofit organization that is not a private foundation.
