Marjorie Dean Financial Journalism Foundation Studentships: Every year the Trustees plan to make awards available to students wishing to obtain financial assistance in pursuing a postgraduate course in economics or a similar subject. Applications are accepted only in the month of March each year. The Foundation offers one or two studentships, worth roughly £10,000 each, to students who have been accepted to do a masters degree in Economics or Finance at a top British university. Preference will be given to applicants who can write well and who will produce a piece of research (probably based on their dissertation) that is suitable for publication. People Eligible for Awards: Students who have been accepted on a postgraduate course in economics or a similar subject.People who are unemployed or have been made redundant, and who wish to obtain vocational training in financial journalism.Applicants are not confined to people living in the United Kingdom, and there are no restrictions regarding age, sex, etc.Candidates should send a CV, a proposed research topic and proof of entry to a masters degree programme.
